Man, thinking about this though... I really have come a long way from asking my first questions about how to understand what the difference between shocks, spacers, lift kits and coilovers do.... Couldn't thank @DukeCanBuildit enough for offering his help to run me down the basics for all those parts... 6 months of active questioning as a noob and here I am. Can help other people like me moving from a car to a truck! I didn't even know what tire dimensions even meant... Can't thank this forum enough for the help.

Lol one of my first posts was asking about tires and level kits. I never did anything to my F150's but drive them stock. I had no need for forums back then, ok there wasn't any forums back then. Then I found this site while researching Rangers and the rest is history. ?

Really brings you back huh when you think about how much knowledge is gained by interacting with some true gentlemen and ladies here. Haha, oh dear, you mean you weren't with your local truck club all parked at the local Wawa when forums weren't around? Crazy thinking back about how inexperienced we were and how rich we were before these forums. Heck, I didn't even know these type of vehicle forums were around... I thought there were only garbage facebook groups

Hey there Jim. Just got a reaction to this post and re-read it. Something caught my eye. You mentioned 265/65 "stock"... So that means you have a 265-65-17? When we were talking about 265-65 I was referring to an 18 in wheel. That means you can squeeze by with more dimensions on the 17 wheel. 31.6 diameter is the sweet spot is what I hear for no lift or crash bar modification. That's taking in account you might off-road or drive crazy speeds and hit a certain bump you want full extension of suspension without it hitting any brake lines, spindles, UCA, crash bars, etc. Phil says they shove these bad boys on hoists and jump them up and down to test for full extension of suspension and how the tire size interacts. I trust their decision on this, I only went 5 taller. Keep in mind, again, no lift, no crash bar mods I would stick with 31.6 max.

So I am staying with 265/65r17 for a bit until a suspension lift and possibly a change of intrusions bars and I actually saw a ranger in the wild just a few days ago with these 265/65 stock wheels like mine will have and was not as unhappy as I would have thought

No problem, just didn't want to steer someone wrong with a miscommunication. That setup you are looking at will be really sweet! Surprisingly enough, I thought I would care more about poke or how big the tires were but after seeing the big detrimental effects of more aggressive treading and an extra 80-100 pounds on the tires.... I care more about performance over aesthetic in this situation. Just to be clear, just the speed timings aspect of things, not to mention the MPG decrease hit. Also, not steering you away from your setup, I think it will be amazing.

What was nice back then (2019) is there wasn't as many pages to go through. So I would read through everyone of them after work trying to learn as much as I could so I didn't look like a total noobie asking dumb questions. lol I don't do Facebook or any other social media so this site was a big help and also a big hurt to my bank account. I can retain a lot of info if I'm interested in the subject so I guess my brain now is overloaded with 303 products, microfiber towels and Graphene. ?

Hah, you mean you didn't thrown off the cliff for not properly using the search bar first? Facebook is my only social media as it helps me diary my life and adventures. I would agree social media is a pain in the butt if that's why you don't do it.

Yes sir, every mind can learn about anything if it motivates them Hah, detailing honestly is good knowledge. Otherwise, you pay hundreds of dollars for someone that might even cheap out on some products/processes to get you to come back quicker. Them on your vehicle ->

I feel your pain . I'm not a tire guy so all this gets confusing ,LOL

I installed a 2.5" level and would like to fill the wheel well up just for looks right now . I'm never gonna off road the Ranger as that's what the Bronco is ordered for . If I've read correctly a 265/70r18 would fit ok of these factory wheels without issues ? I'm currently looking at Pirelli Scorpions or Falken Wildpeaks .

I didn't see a response to your post, so I'll help you out. I can confirm 265/70R18 fit with a leveling kit. I have the Fox 2.0 and I'm running this size tire (Falken Wildpeaks) with no issues on this exact wheel.

Looks darn good Bryan. Come on, you still haven't switched out your side mirror turn signal indicators for the smoked amber LED SEQUENTIAL version off amazon for $35? It's sticking out like a sore thumb with all that black and blue! That was one of my most favorite mods, and it takes like 10 minutes. Taking off the skull cap is a little scary but was easy enough.
