I suppose my weekend adventure wasn't 100% complete. Today I got to play "fix-the-tire" with the Ranger. Apparently there was a chunk of rock that punctured and then partially broke off in my tire.

I'm happy and surprised I was able to make it home without incident from the trail that's 2 hours away :O

Hi Duke. Only a few thousand. Here's one outside of a Sonic in the Texas Panhandle. A chili cheese dog was consumed just after this picture was taken.

On our YouTube channel's next video (coming out Wednesday!), we'll have footage out the Bay Star's back window and viewer's will get to see the Ranger actually being towed. It will be thrilling. We actually use the Ranger as a shooting platform for our road shots.

And, here's a side benefit. Subscribers to our channel live longer and their kids make better grades:

I have sorry internet, so only watched a few minutes of one video. You and your wife both have very good, pleasant voices for narrating. Also, the scenery was beautiful! :like:

Thanks, Tracy. The channel is a silly retirement thing that we're doing. Our grandchildren think we're movie stars. That's all the glamor and acclaim that we wanted.

But, that being said, our winter series should be cool. We've named that trip the "Mostly Coastly Winter Adventure". We plan to kayak the interesting coastal spots from Sanibel Island, FL to Padre Island, TX. The experience will be great. The videos will probably be embarrassing. But, grandkids.

I’ll keep my eyes open for it. Should be beautiful. And, I understand about grandchildren. They are a wonderful blessing. If you and your family enjoy it, it’s not silly! I think it’s great! :like:

We picked up a Blackstone griddle tonight...had a helper from the store to load it, but unloaded it myself. Freaked out a little when I went to close the tailgate - the box was a hair too long for the gate to close and the tailgate popped off the right side. I thought...crap, the hinge bent, probably aluminum like the gate...but I think it's ok, I popped it back on. The wonderful damper held the left side from falling off:muscle:

I know what I'll be doing tomorrow

AWESOME! You're going to love that thing! I've got authentic carne asada tacos on the menu for tonight, cooked on my Blackstone. Other favorites at home are cheesesteaks and my wife's ultimate favorite and the best thing ever to cook on a Blackstone - SMASH BURGERS!!!!

These are some pics of Bacon Jalapeno Popper Smash Burgers that I made up:

Hi Folks,

Our Ranger took us to the Dental Hygienist some 30 miles South and then to the border with Mexico to our favorite restaurant for dinner. It had not poked its shiny nose out of the garage for around six weeks, so the romp on the Freeway was good for it.... It is just not getting much use in these Covid times...

best,
Phil

Yummmm....can't wait to get it together and seasoned, John. Also need some griddle accoutrements, most definitely a burger smasher like you got. It'll be on my covered patio out back, so I'm hoping to use it almost year-round (in PA snow?). Have to check out the YouTube videos on griddling, I think my Weber will be relegated to 2nd fiddle.

I got painted fender flares on the truck. And exactly one week later (yesterday).. Got blasted in the tailgate by a lifted Chevy 2500HD pulling a 30 foot camper, following too close and going to fast when cars in front of me stopped.

A burger smasher is key! I also use squares of parchment paper between the meatball and the smasher when I get to the squashing so the meat doesn't stick to the smasher. One square of parchment paper cut to size is usually good for a griddle full of patties.

If I could do it over, I'd get this smasher:

The other key accessories are a set of griddle spatulas! I just ordered a second one of these:

Took two cremation caskets to the funeral home. They’re unoccupied.

What was your tire pressure? I see those 118’s, do you think the higher load range would have prevented this?
