Has anyone noticed an excessive amount of travel in there brake pedal?
My pedal will travel at least 3 inches before the breaks begin to bite. Is this normal?

I asked about it right after purchase and they said it was normal, still have to question it at my first oil change!

Retired, work is a four letter word.
Pretty new to the forum, sorry if I offended you!
Don't let it bother you, takes awhile to get acclimated to the push back around here on certain topics, instead of just scrolling past they will just drop in for a snarky comment. Most topics are well covered here somewhere, use the search function first to get the info, and if you can't find it by all means ask. And welcome to the forum.

No problem bud….just always try search first. It’s pretty much a common issue. Kinda mushy, but are extremely safe. All cars are little different. I had a JGC once that “bit” way too fast also….

TADT: They All Do That. The truck was designed in Australia and apparently the correct spec is brake feel that acts like the master cylinder needs a rebuild. ?‍♂

You’re not alone Ken. I have no issues with the brake pedal feel of the Ranger - maybe my previous Rangers were similar - not sure. However, many members here have mentioned the soft pedal feel. Some have bled the brakes in the usual manner and we’re happy - others did it using Forscan and were happy. Others have tried both and still aren’t happy. ?‍♂

Special note to @AzScorpion for moving this thread while I was in the middle of replying.
