FordPass Siri Shortcuts

Some geniuses over on reddit have figured out how to get Siri Shortcuts working with the FordPass app so you can tell Siri to start your truck, stop it, unlock it, lock it, check the fuel, oil etc. Ive installed the shortcuts and tested them all out on my device and they are working perfectly.

If any of you don't know what this does or means, it means you can control your truck by voice and don't need to open the FordPass app to to do any of the above mentioned commands. Something I've been waiting a loooooooong time for that Ford will likely never bring us.

On your phone, you need to go to settings>shortcuts> toggle "allow untrusted shortcuts" on.

Also, I had to change the wording from "Car" to "Truck" on each shortcut because Siri wouldn't run the command using "car"

Check the FordPass for error messages. It’s only possible to start the car remotely 2 or 3 times until it forces you to start it manually (likely for battery saving purpose)

You can, but you will need to change the names so you do not have conflicts. For example, I have 2 separate sets of shortcuts for my Ranger and Fusion. I also modified the text of the responses to include ‘Ranger’ or ‘Fusion’. It helps to keep things straight.

Does anyone know whether the “start my car” shortcut has a 15 minute timeout like when you start it from FordPass app, or is it running indefinitely?

Also why stop at Siri Shortcuts… set up an automation to start when you leave work in the evening?

It has the timeout, for however long you set it in your dashboard settings, 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

Well damn! this is awesome, thanks for posting. This worked 1st time without a hitch. Now we need a shortcut for "Sound My Trucks Horn" for us old farts (or just to scare kids)

Seems like the location data isn't making it over from the Get Vehicle Status shortcut. Does your FordPass app show the location of your truck?

I know I am late to the party, but this is the best addition/mod to date!
for the un-techie like me, make sure you enter your full account name and if its an email , all of it.
make sure you have your password correct , if any upper/lower case stuff, etc.
if you get any part wrong it will show the error below. it came down to an entry error in the Ford Pass shortcut.

I have just lost the use of “hey siri” commands for my truck on my watch. All the commands work fine from my phone but will not work from my watch. I have watch os8.3 and phone is iOS 15.2. Does anyone know what happened? Is it a Apple update issue or is something else wrong? All my apps show on the watch and the only one that works is the “where is my Ranger“

any help would be appreciated!
I will post what I did if I ever get them working.

Mine quit immediately after Apple pushed a software update to my watch. No fixes yet that I know of.
