so after owning the truck for 2 months now, i was playing around with the lane keeping assist this weekend and what not. i also, was trying to find where to enable curve control. I could swear that I saw it somewhere in the settings via the steering wheel menus and i disabled it when i first got the truck. Now I cannot find it. I was wondering for 1 day why lane assist wasn't working until i rediscovered the little button on the turn signal stock. so where is curve control enabled or disabled? or was i smokin' crack?

I believe you were smokin' something. Don't know as that's an option.
If it is, I want what you got.

There is a Forscan setting that uses the fog light as a turn lighting aid and then goes out when signal is off. Not sure if that’s what you mean. It’s not in any dash menu selection though

It's part of the stability control setup, and it's automatic, called roll stability control.
Supposedly it automatically slows the truck down if it senses your going into a curve too fast....doesn't stop it, just slows it down Page 177 in owners manual...to disable you have to shut off the stability control.

Curve control? I think smoking crack. But the lane assist, i only use it on road trips. In town or local highway driving i change lanes to often, and if you dont use a blinker, depending on settings, the truck can fight you while changing lanes

Turning off Advancetrak, Ford's "stability control" will NOT disable RSC.

Aa far as my research can tell me the only way RSC can be completely turned off is is the "sand" Terrain Management setting.

I haven't not been able to prove that yet, as the snow needs to return for me to get the truck that sideways safely.

If you'd like to prove to yourself that disabling advancetrak doesn't disable RSC it's easy to do. She'll get a little squirrelly but the truck will reign you before you go full on hoon.

Ohh and I'm with others.

WTF is Curve Control?

Edit: thanks RP. Hard to imagine it's a marketing term. ;)

There you go OP. It may be disabled in "sand" mode. But other than that you're stuck with it.

I probably miss understood...thought it indicated if the stability control was turned off it would also turn the roll control off...

my whole goal here is to see where i saw the mention of "curve control" while setting up the truck a couple months ago. it's nowhere off the menus. it may very well be something mentioned in trail management once you active it....will need to look.

That's right next to the "stealth mode" button, isn't it ?
I'm not gonna lie.

There should be a sleepy mode button to turn on all safety nannies and crank them up to eleven.

I say this as a mildly narcoleptic third shift worker.

I have no sway bar and long travel with stiff coilovers so I get minimal body roll yet each side doesn't transfer the load to each other I love it except I hate when I go fast into corners and the front brakes attack me like no I wanted a little fishtail not my front brakes to engage lol I think I just hold down the traction control button I'll try it again
