I went back to Android from an iPhone, didn't bother redownloading the app. Don't miss it at all.

I got the extended warranty two months ago. For a week the warranty info showed up in the app, it was slick to see the details on loaner and mileage coverage. After a week it crashes or gives this message every time I try to view the warranty info.

This is finally working today!

It must have been a server issue as there was no app update.

Getting FORDPASS points added to your account is like pulling teeth.

I've called multiple times, excuses, excuses, excuses, wait 30 days.... 30 days passes...OH WAIT, something went wrong, puts in an escalation ticket, OOPS system screwed up, need to wait another 30 days. BULLSH*T!. Case was closed automatically, no resolution.

Of course, FORD tried to blame it on the dealer for not processing the sale of the vehicle properly (although all my information and date of sale are populated in the FORDPASS app_.

I think its a glitch on the FORD end. I finally demanded my FORD dealer add my points manually. I had to threaten to turn them into the BBB. They finally added them manually.

I don't believe for one second someone who brags on the forum that they got their fordpass rewards points the next day, or even within the week.

The system is F&%@ED up!

I got mine before I left the dealership.

On service or a new vehicle purchase?
New vehicle purchase.

Granted I had the app from my previous vehicle and the FirstBankCard Ford Visa which accrues points already. As soon as I synced the truck up with app, did this while salesman was buttoning things up on paperwork, they popped in. Maybe the dealership pushed them through?

I know it's a rarity, but so is your case. Getting the initial points happens in a reasonable time for most.

It's also quick on service. By the time I get home I've got the message and points. And once a month the card's points hit like clockwork within a couple of days of the billing cycle end if any are applicable.

The one time I had an issue was when I bought the Ranger. The dealer had an old email address for me in the system so the points did not get deposited. Once I had them update the system to the email my FordPass account is registered to, I got the points I have never had a problem since. I get my points for any service I get down within a few days.

I can assure you, FORD did NOT deposit your FORDPASS points into your account the day you purchased the vehicle. The dealer probably pushed them thru at a cost of them.
Its a process that requires registration on part of the dealership AS WELL as the fordpass registration of the modem in the truck..

So, your getting them the day you made your purchase is certainly a rarity, and NOT something that everyone should be expecting reading this post. It simply does not happen that quick.

I understand it is rare.

You need to understand that your delay was rare as well.

And I can assure you that the dealership I did business did not do anything that cost them money.

You sound bitter. Would you like some of my points?

Nope, just stating that FORD did not issue your FORDPASS points on the day you purchased your vehicle, unless the dealer added them manually later - and NOT on the day you bought it. (and it does cost the dealer to manually add points). It even takes several days for the dealer to report the sale of the vehicle to FORD, so there is actually no way to issue FORDPASS points on a vehicle sale that's not even been recorded yet

Puzzling is the word. I emailed two dealers I have did business with before (not the one I got the Ranger from). They both said there is no possible way for FordPass points to be awarded on the day of a sale of a vehicle because there is no record to Ford yet.
Although you can add ANY vehicle to your FORDPASS account, and even though a new vehicle requires the modem activation within 30 days of the vehicle sale, the sale of the vehicle takes days to be reported to FORD, and there is some paperwork the dealer has to do as well for the FordPass points to be valid. SO, a sale has to be verified BEFORE points are added, otherwise, people would just be getting Vin #'s off trucks on the lot, adding them to their Fordpass account, and Voila, Points added. It doesn't work like that.
Just stating the facts..........

What you are stating are not "facts."

You're simply relaying what somebody else told you. That's called hearsay, or gossip. We all know how poorly dealerships understand the program, not one of them is qualified to explain the process.

The only fact we know is that most people recieve their points in a reasonable amount of time. You and I are outliers.

Some puzzles weren't worth wasting your time on.

Response : How are you able to determine whether the people I contacted are not qualified to answer the question or not? They "relayed the process". I trust them and there is no reason for them to state anything else other than the correct process.
Heresay? Gossip? WTF???
