Rene, I've had my Viair 88P for almost 2 years now and it works great. I usually air down to 16-18 psi and can fill back up in roughly under 5 mins per tire to 32 psi. It comes with a case and it's small and portable and I just lay it on the hump in the back floor.

The only thing I don't like about rechargeable ones is you always need to make sure they have a good full charge before going out. Last thing you want to deal with is a dead/low battery when you're trying to air back up. Plus if you're away on vacation it's one less thing to think about having to make sure the battery is charged.

Dave, I like your review of the Viair but you are trying to sell me another mod on top of another mod? Do you give anyone's wallet a break? However, I did see this hitch receiver earlier and I like it so I will bookmark this and forgive it this once.

P.S. Maybe the Viair link would match the Viair review :giggle:

OoppS...Fixed it. Guess I didn't hold down the command c keys hard enough. Or I was trying to make you spend even more money. ?

You've got plenty of money. Here's Brandon out in his back deck while he thought no one was around. ?

Lol so here is what I did!! I got the Ford Performance portable kit!! I also decided to make it a full on-board kit because thats the kind of person I am!! Wich compressor does Ford use? They use the ARB single compressor that is reated to fully inflate a 37 inch tire in 2 minutes. How well does it work? Verry well!! I think I can inflate all my tires between 5-10 minutes from 18 to 30 psi. Here are some pictures of my little setup

I like this setup. Where did you get your 12V power from?

Greetings,
I have this pump. I gather you just plug it in to the outlet in the back seat that is on the center console with an extension chord?

Thanx...
Yup, I carry a 20 foot extension cord with me and pass the pump through the cab to get to both sides.

I went strait to the battery
But there is a 12 power source right behind where you mounted the compressor. Why did you run power all the way to the battery?

Thanks for that! I search the forums before I posted but didn't find that. Love the idea, just not sure I want to on-board system. Very cool though.
Yeah, I don't have a need for it now, but used to drive on the beach and would have probably done this if I knew about it. We would air down to 20 for beach weekends and just drive slow on the roads, then air up when we left, but this would have been a nice option. I timed it out so I knew how long to bleed each tire to air down, and it saved a few seconds for each tire.

I can't recommend the Milwaukee M12 inflator enough. I absolutely love mine. Super portable, set the psi and walk away, don't have to worry about hooking into the battery, don't have to worry about running air lines and mounting a tank, and cheaper than on board air. I don't need to be able to run air tools or fill a 40" tire in under a minute. I just need to top off the tires and this is perfect.

I love my Milwaukee tools. Hadn't seen this before, thx!

I've been running a Viair for about 12 years, not sure of the model but it has been a great compressor. I donated it to my buddy's kid who is building his first wheeler, and bought myself a new V400P for my Ranger build.

Also building a quad-line as shown below and a great find by AZscorpion

I'm seeing lots of good reviews on the Viair models. I'm going to dig deeper on the different models and see what's what.

Make sure you look at the recovery times (duty cycle) too. I know with mine I don't have to worry about letting it cool down, I can fill up all 4 and go. Plus I like that it's a battery connection and not a cig lighter connection.

Thanks for all the posts and ideas! This is another great example of why this forum is so valuable.

Still not sure what I will get. For what it's worth, I'll post again once I make a purchase.
