Wow that's pretty beat up all right. Looks like how my new bottle jack was when it arrived last week. Was the exterior of the box beat up or just the original ones? If not than someone packed it this way and that's not good! I'm sure they'll make it right but just a hassle to go through and now wait for another delivery.

Both the outer box and the strut boxes were like this. The leaf springs are like that on the other end as well.

Looks like the shipper (UPS or FedEx) tossed it around a bit. This seems to be happening more and more lately with. both these shippers. Mine looked like they threw it from the truck to my front door.

Yeah.....so much for the project this weekend. My biggest concern with damage like that is the finish being compromised before I even install it. Can't be good for the longevity.

The OME kit arrived today from Stage 3 Motorsports, and I'm disappointed in the condition. Oh.....and no coil springs. You guys have any thoughts?

Sounds like the shipper itself caused problems here. When I got my kit it did come with coil springs up front and it was in much better condition than that. I would contact customer service at stage 3 and let them know if your issue and go from there.

USPS is about the same. Seems like 1/2 the time the package is dragged behind delivery vehicle and 1/2 the time it's torn open to steal stuff until found to be not worth it

almost looks like a used return item. I would request a return shipping label and get a new order started.

Im sure stage3 will clear it up for you, but completely understand the frustration behind it. Are the shipping companies held liable for damage?

Yes they are. With mine I had to send the company (US Jack) pictures of the box all around, the packing material and pics of the damage to the jack. They have insurance for this but it'll go through UPS in my case and make a claim through them.

Thats good to know, I guess Im pushing it when thinking the customer should be compensated a little from the shipping company. However, its a burden not only for the customer but the retailer also. YOu would think,(or you would have thought lol) that would be enough incentive for the carriers to take better care of peoples items.
