I washed my truck today. It was the first day in 4+ months that the temperature was over 50°F/10°C. There is still lots of snow here and winter will hang around for another month or more, but it was great to get the hoses and pressure washer out and rinse it off, foam and wash it. I spray waxed it, dried it off with a leaf blower, then did the final dry and polish with a detail spray. It will only stay clean until the very next time I drive it, but it feels good to have it totally cleaned and protected.

I removed the running boards on my brand new Ranger SCREW. They are one piece construction and readily removable once the body and chassis are de-mated. This requires the removal of 3 phillips head screws. The rear bumper is a separate piece and is intended to be reinstalled when re-mating the body and chassis. The running boards are not for sale as packing and shipping would be prohibitively expensive. BTW as you can see from the picture it's a manual transmission Lariat. Pardon the white stuff as there were snow flurries in Florida today.

No engine cover to be found but the damper must be standard and is malfunctioning as I cannot even get the tailgate to open.

The nice weather continues:
Today's mission was to install the Bushwackers and tighten up the Westin Traxx 5s.
I also put in the LED plate, 3rd brake and cargo lights.
I've got the decals and the mudflaps in the garage if we have a couple more nice days.

Installed OEM running boards $325 from the parts dept vs like $600 if I had ordered the truck with it, took 15 minute to put them on.

Got and installed the bed extender cost was $225, and the OEM weather tech Style floor mats for $130.

Installed a Trigger 6 Shooter and Diode Dynamics 18" light bar. It's the combo with the center section is a fog lense and the outer lenses are driving. I used Lamin-x over the fog section to match the yellow fog lights. I think I may bring it down lower a bit

Added free advertising for Roush. And an anime bunny and weeb culture sticker to my roush front plate. Don’t hate me I might have ruined the American truck look, but I like it aesthetically :(
On a previous day I plasti dipped the emblems and added a “carbon fiber” sticker decal over the ford emblem.

Installed my velossa big mouth today. A little challenge but it did go in. I wasn’t particularly fond of the way the cover went back on over it though and got out my oscillation saw and just hacked off the restriction. Just flat with an oval hole now. Needs a little more trimming on the oval hole on the cover to open it all the way to the exit size of the velossa horn. Might 3D print a top curved air flow director to channel air flow in the direction of the intake. Over the next few tank fulls we’ll see if any improvements are yielded

HeyJoel,

That’s a fair amount of poke for stock tires - it looks good. It really should be more noticeable with 285s - have you swapped your intrusion bars for aftermarket?

Oh, and for crying out loud, pick up your tools! You’re almost as bad as Jack. At least it can’t fly off your truck on the interstate like @OFC Ranger.

Yeah they seem to stick out a bit for stock tires. While I didn’t want them to stick out too much, this is just about what I wanted. That way when I pick up a set of the Bushwacker OE style flares the wheels can lay as flush as possible with them. Added a photo of the front for reference.

I have yet to pick up any intrusion beams. I’m going to try the loosen and push method for now. As long as it allows me to handle my day to day driving I’ll be fine. If I see too much interaction with them and the tire while off-roading, then I’ll look into the aftermarket. I was going to hack them off, but with all the road trips I see myself doing, I would like as much safety as possible.

It’s funny that you mentioned the tools. All of them, minus the vise grip, were sitting on my tailgate. Not sure how he ended up over there. Must not play well with others I suppose.

Installed a Bugflector II

Washed the truck using the 2 bucket method with Meguiars car wash and dried with microfiber towels. Waxed the hood and the area that the Bugflector would cover before installing it. Will clay bar where needed and wax the rest of the truck after next wash to get ready for the summer. I don't like washing vehicles but am too particular to take it to an automated car wash.

I followed this excellant Ranger installation video to succeed:
Bought the cheapest tool I could find (at Harbor Freight) to remove the fasteners: $7.00. It was too thin and flimsy but got it to work without breaking any of the fasteners. A better choice would be: https://amzn.to/3bXmETe

It was a tricky for one person to get the Bugflector positioned for installation but was able to manage. The fastening system used by AVS makes the Bugflector very stable.

Great question, turns out I was too excited about how it turned out and didn’t take close ups of it  currently on vacation but will take a close up as soon as I can. But, here’s a further away shot from a little photo shoot. Hope this helps for now.
