While I will admit that the build of my JK Wrangler was less than stellar, FCA/Stellantis has a FAR better in-car integration system with U-Connect.

It is leaps and bounds better than Sync. Ford could learn a few things from it.

Always hate to see a fellow Ranger owner leave but you have to be happy with what you're driving. Good luck with your new Gladiator.

Jeep traffic jam as usual.? They're always in my way and drive to damn slow!?
Too funny. Years ago before I moved to Colorado, I was on Cimarron pass and passed about 30 Jeep’s with my rental Town car. I just couldn’t go that slow. It was nothing more than a gravel road.

Well folks, as some of you know I came to the Ranger from a Jeep Wrangler JLU. The Ranger is an awesome truck. I spend a lot of time in the desert and it had done everything I've asked of it. It's quick, powerful, comfortable, decent economy. No complaints.
But, I missed my Jeep. Every time I saw one I was checking it out. I liked the pickup bed of the Ranger so I made the mistake of driving a Gladiator. I liked it much more than I thought I would. I bought it. Ricky Ranger is gone.

This is a great community. I'll stick my head in occasionally to say hello.
You all take care, stay safe and thank you.

Hope you like the Jeep. I have owned a Jeep (many years ago) and was happy with it for the time I had it. Not a particular fan of the pickup version but everyone has their own taste. Hope it works out well for ya.

Nice Jeep. I still have a Gladiator Rubicon diesel on order. I couldn't wait as I needed a tow vehicle so I got the Ranger in the meantime. Of all the options I ordered the one that irritated me the most was paying $245 for not getting white. I always get white, but couldn't resist the Firecracker Red with painted flares and hard top on the Gladiator.

This.

Every time I went on a trail ride with the Jeep club there was a literal traffic jam in the woods.

I much prefer smaller groups of no more than 10 vehicles, and even 10 can be problematic.

3 or 4 vehicles seems about perfect.
Not many trees in the Mojave desert. That problem for you does not exist out here in the Wild West. You actually want 100 yards separation when moving to let the dirt settle or your air filter will need replacing after a day.

Pic was a stopping point where four separate trails met up. That was not a single group of Jeeps on the trail. That would be too long. But I agree with you smaller groups are nice.

looks good! I wanted white but ended up getting mine in silver

I still come back to this forum and the Colorado/Canyon forum to read what's going on with the vehicles

pop in every once in a while to report on how it’s living up to your expectations. When I bought my Ranger, it was between Tacoma, Gladiator, or Ranger... in that order. But once I drove the ranger, I wanted it. Gladiator was too expensive and i would have had to budget for a lift for it to look right to me, but still drool over a nicely built one when I see them.

Will do. I had not considered a Gladiator before because they were so pricey. I saw this one on a local dealer's web site. It's a Sport with Max Tow package and some other goodies. Max Tow means extra cooling, heavier rear springs to avoid droop, wide HD Dana 44 axles with 4.10 gears. Same axles the Rubicon gets but without the lockers. There is a LS differential in the rear axle though. Also trailer hitch, wiring, etc. It has a 7,650 pound tow capacity.
It obviously is not as fast as the 2.3 EB but the 3.6L Pentastar with the 8 speed auto is actually pretty nice. The auto shifts great, I think better than the Ford 10 speed. An added benefit is I don't have to worry about fuel in the oil or carbon build up on the valves. I'm getting just over 20 mpg unless I haul my trailer.
The aftermarket is insane. Already checking out Rubicon take-off 33" wheels & tires and mild lifts.
I LIKE this truck.
