Today I installed a grill in that blank space, install running boards, beauty rings on the wheels. I ordered a ford bug shield, and engine cover.

I remember when my truck kinda looked like that. Hang on tight, it’s gonna get expensive.

Hi Pete,

I searched on Ebay for 12mm x 1.5 and found ones for Ford Focus that were chromed solid lug nuts

https://www.ebay.com/itm/402004218165?ViewItem=&item=402004218165

I had to ask the seller for 4 more lugnuts and when they arrived, I measured thread depth 60° cone angle etc. They were an exact match for the two piece OEM Ranger lug nuts. Another fourm member would not buy these as they did not list Ranger....I took chance, being pretty sure they would work and they do... Bit of a problem for the MKX as the replacements are 22mm and the vehicle lug wrench is for 21mm....sigh....

Thanks so much for the link Phil. I hopefully have a set on the way. I left a message with the seller for an extra 4 per your suggestion. Fingers crossed!

Take care,

Randy

Installed the lower grill to fill the gaping hole open to all rocks, etc...found the source from someone else who had added it on this forum; took a 15 minute install:

Same thing happened to me and never got around to fixing it, and even got an alignment after, then wheels, then tires. 5k miles after really no issues. I'll fix it... eventually.

Installed the @Fordrangerlifts.com 2.5” Leveling kit. Unfortunately during the process I popped one of the sway bar end links. Now to find a replacement before taking her to have an alignment down. As of the moment of completion the front has a 1” larger gap than the rear. It does appear it have a slight sag in the rear now, but I attribute that to the steel 58” rack and CVT Mt Shasta tent.

Had to enjoy a cold adult beverage after that one.

Where did you source it, and what is it called? I’ve been trying to find the thread that talked about filling that gap.

Putco makes the lower grill. Something like $75 for a piece of plastic/metal. In my opinion, better off buying a $75 light bar from Amazon to install down there. Least then you have something functional for that kind of money.
