Thank you! And yeah tires are wayyy more expensive now than the last few times I bought them. But this time I made sure to pay extra for replacement certificates:LOL:
Today I had some new rubber installed.
Ran into a pack of wild nails and bolts that were crossing the road on my way home which killed the 265/70r17 Goodyear Duratracs for which I didnāt have replacement certs for. Ouch. At 38k they still had plenty of life left but werenāt patchable. Soooo...
I have a very similar setup. RC 2.5" level, Icon Vector 17x8.5s +25 offset and they definitely rub the slightest bit but only full lock backing out a driveway on 265/70/r17s. When researching i found a common issue that came into play was how big the tires actually measured. Even though they are...
Iāve been thinking about ditching my toolbox and finding a cap and cross bars. Maybe getting a smaller tool chest that bolts more recessed into the bed. This only makes me want to find one even more. My buddy has a similar cap and cross bars setup on his 6.0 and loves it. I love the look of it...
Washed and waxed my Ranger and momās Escape for the first time in like 2 months and many road-trips. The Escape went to Mexico a few weeks ago and Iāve been all over Texas lately. Tried Chemical Guys Diablo wheel cleaner for the first time. Not a huge fan as it worked well but took most of the...
Been really thinking about one of these mainly for the induction noise. I had a ā16 ecoboost Mustang in college before the Ranger where I installed an AEM intake and man that intake and turbo whistle was primo. I donāt care if thereās no power gains haha. Definitely let us know what you think...
Installed some Bilstein 5100s (on sale ;)) in the rear over stock 2WD and WOW. Completely transformed this truck. Before the rear end was squirrelly over bumps and in sharp corners felt jerky with only a RC level. This completely eliminated that and now the truck feels planted and just eats...
Washed and waxed the truck, removed the ecoboost emblem (and chipped the paint in the process), added chrome letter inserts to the front grille then black inserts in the rear, and removed the plastidip in the āFordā font from the emblems front + rear. Very happy with how my truck is looking...
Love to see another Ranger owner rocking the Vector 6s. I have only seen a few builds around with them but I absolutely love mine so far. Cant recommend them enough for the perfect stance. I seen a set on a Taco which looked sharp as well.
OPs post history says he's been tuned since 5k. Similar ecoboom issue as tuned Mustangs with the 2.3 and why I didn't tune mine while I had it. Issues become pretty common with these motors when tuned, but they are great when left stock.
Oddly cool and rainy for this time of year at 77F and 82% humidity in Houston. This rain is a nice break from the 97 degree days we've been having lately. But in true Houston fashion we are under a flash flood warning smh... Looks like the rest of the country is borrowing our usual weather for...
so I went to San Luis Pass on the coast of Texas today and put this to the testā¦ on the way in I was cautious and stuck to the shoreline as much as possible but had to go through some deep sand (maybe 50 yards) to meet up with my friends with no problems without airing down on a 2wd open diff...
Never heard this trick beforeā¦ Iām assuming this could help in the sand on a open diff 2wd as well? Canāt pony up the money for onboard air and a locking diff yet and itching to go to the beach!! Iāve had luck and not gotten stuck on wildlife refuge trails and kinda packed beach sand but not...
It is close enough and miles better than the stock rake, but its gonna be one of those things that no one will ever notice unless you point it out to them
I have the same exact setup but I'm at +25 offset and rub ever so slightly at full lock backing out of a driveway... I think some trimming might be in your future at almost an inch more of stance than I
Edit: actually 17x8.5" but still likely to rub
Kind of weirded out about the carvana offers... I did a quote on mine for shits and gigs (2019 XLT 2WD cloth seats no ACC or sliding glass and 12k miles) and got a quote for over 32k welll over what I paid for it brand new. Then my old roommate got a quote on his (2019 XLT fully optioned katzkin...
love the extra space that the box provides but honestly if I could do it over I would buy a chest toolbox that doesnāt cross over and a tonneau cover that could go over it all. Still happy with my purchase. As for the wheels I love them a lot and get lots of compliments. Perfect stance too!
