Disable "urgent message"

I have iPhone SE 2nd gen running iOS 14.3

All the mentioned alerts are enabled.

Running the latest Sync v3.4.20282

Previously had a Galaxy S8 with the latest software.

I have never seen those alerts with either phone.

I wonder if it's coming from the built in Nav as I've only used that once when I first got the truck.

I always use my phone for navigation.

The message or the drain? The minute I turned off CarPlay and switched to using the apps through FP my battery was toast

I've never seen the message or had the battery drain. Weird how some are having these problems and others are not.

Not sure if anyone else watches TFL but they were having this issue. It might be related to Sirius Radio traffic alerts. I never saw the follow up to the issue though.

So far:

1. Day 1, Unpair phone: no messages
2. Day 2, pair phone: no messages in the morning, are back in the afternoon
3. Day 3, uninstall Ford Pass App: phone is still paired, no messages the whole day.

It seems like it may be the app.
Do all with the app get messages?
Those who don't get messages, do you have the app installed

I have a Galaxie S10 latest Android version, FP app installed. Phone is paired to truck. Truck is non-NAV. Use Google maps for NAV.

Have never seen those messages

I use an IPhone and CarPlay. Originally I got these messages and it’s from the Nav system and maps. I went into the maps settings and disabled everything on my phone. I use Waze so no need for google maps and the like. Since then been clear sailing with no messages other than what I get from Waze and even then, I choose what I want reported and how.

The only other alert setting I can find is in the SiriusXm settings, alerts on or off and mine are off.

I even have the test settings available and there are no alert settings to muck with in there and I know there was nothing in ForScan that I knowingly touched regarding them.

Guess you'll have to mod the dash and put in a 32" 4k TV... and trash the rear seats for a couch...

EDIT LATER: There is a bunch of stuff regarding WAZE and alerts it throws, bug issues that they & Ford have been working on for some time. Can you turn off alerts in WAZE?

Yes, you can turn on or off text alerts and voice alerts. I’m starting to like Natasha though...

Not sure what bugs you’re talking about. Works flawlessly in my rig. Sometimes just map is active with text alerts of police and hazards and have the FM station playin

Didn't read a lot of it, but there was several Google-foo things regarding waze, ford, sync and stuff and I think my action verbs were turning alerts on off...was like a quick thought after last post, OP had mentioned waze

Yep exactly use onboard Nav and have no problems. latest iOS and iPhone 11

Update:
My iPhone is a model 11 running latest IOS
My sync version is not the original but not the latest either.
In the iPhone Settings under the Notifications section and scrolling to the bottom is a section for Government Alerts
There are three switches to chooses to enable/disable:
AMBER Alerts
Emergency Alerts
and
Public Safety Alerts

I will enable only Public Safety to see if I still get the highway alerts and if I still do, is will disable to see if they stop.

Update #2:
Today I had a traffic alert and only had the Public Safety Alerts enabled on my iPhone.
I will turn OFF that switch and see what happens.
