Disable "urgent message"

I keep getting "urgent message" pop ups when I travel on highways. Every timer I get onto a new highway or direction. Honestly, I have not had a helpful one. So I would love to know how to turn them off. Any ideas?

Never seen or heard of them until now. Could it be in your navigation settings / alerts?

Also, do you have your cell phone plugged in via USB and using an app for navigation or just the trucks own system?

Yeah, I have a non-NAV system and never seen one like that. I know my maps will warn me of accidents and speed traps. That looks like a weather warning.

Yes, I have gotten them while traveling. I just acknowledge them and touch "close". They usually just go off the screen.

Well, I just got an iPhone after my galaxy s7 died...and now I get those messages after I paired my phone. I wonder if it is iphone related? Do the prior posters all have iPhones? Is there a setting to disable? Idk.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10e.

I'm going to remove it from Sync, also forget the Ranger on my phone. Then connect it again to see what the permissions are.

I have an iPhone and receive the messages as well. I recall seeing a setting to control but can't recall where. Maybe it was in the phone. I will look into it a report back.

I have an iPhone 8+ and have never seen this message. Those that are seeing this have any of you updated your Sync? I'm still running the original sync.

In settings/notifications there are 3 on off switches for Amber alerts, emergency alerts and public safety alerts. This Is ios14, scroll to bottom

Update:
My iPhone is a model 11 running latest IOS
My sync version is not the original but not the latest either.
In the iPhone Settings under the Notifications section and scrolling to the bottom is a section for Government Alerts
There are three switches to chooses to enable/disable:
AMBER Alerts
Emergency Alerts
and
Public Safety Alerts

I will enable only Public Safety to see if I still get the highway alerts and if I still do, is will disable to see if they stop.

1. Day 1, Unpair phone: no messages
2. Day 2, pair phone: no messages in the morning, are back in the afternoon
3. Day 3, uninstall Ford Pass App: phone is still paired, no messages the whole day.

It seems like it may be the app.
Do all with the app get messages?
Those who don't get messages, do you have the app installed

My FP app is installed and I've never seen the message. I know Terry suggested turning the alerts off and I checked and I have all my alert set to on so that's not it.
