Finally got out to photo my gauge setup. Changed my arches to solid blue to match my truck. May add the warning colors back in for the temp gauges though. Work in progress. IAT temp was up because had it idling in driveway for a while and heat soaked the intercooler. outside ambient was only about 60F, it was a heat wave here in Wisconsin for November.

What PIDs did you use for IAT and transtemp? I've been searching for them but have been unable to find them. I tried the IAT in torque, but it's not the post-charge temps, it's just straight intake, which isn't helpful. And I've not yet located a trans temp anywhere.

You need an OBDII adapter to read the data from the truck.

Seriously. I've had a few rentals that had even just a few things in the infotainment and it was always nice to see a manufacturer making use of that real-estate.

I use an ODBLINK MX adapter same one I use for Forscan. You need to have the Torque Pro app on the same phone you use for Android Auto.

The fact that I need to buy another adapter I think I'll be good. I do have a OBD2 adapter for my computer for forscan but not for my phone. I think I'll live with what I got on the Livernois is myTouch calibrator

The transmission temp is the Ford specific one 221e1c. As far as the IAT I'm using the Inlet Air Temp PID in Torque, as I don't get any reading off either of the Ford specific ones. I'm not sure where the sensor is. I wouldn't think I'd get that much heat soak off the filter box. It's not an important number for me anyway
I may put something else in that position.

Wow, I've never seen mine that high. This was the highest and I attributed it to being parked idling up against my garage door. I couldn't see it getting that hot ahead of turbo.

Yeah, I can confirm it's the case. All of the ecoboost engines from Ford put out a *LOT* of heat. When it's ~90F outside and you're only moving at ~10mph for a few hours, 150-200F under the hood is quite normal (also don't touch anything when you open it....lesson learned).

These little puppies get warm. But I know it's not charge air temps because you don't see the variations you'd expect while boosting the engine, so it's somewhere pre-turbo, likely just past the air filter, maybe part of the MAF sensor area.

You won't unless you really crawl for a long time. I don't typically see mine much over outside temp unless I'm stuck in traffic or offroad. We have a lot of good fresh-air intake across the engine bay so it helps keep it cool.

And yeah, I just meant in that general area is where I think this temp is read from.

Here's another one of my trips. IAT2 is the "calculated" value where IAT is the "real" value according to Torque. Bet you can't guess when I was offroad? haha. Like I said, normally it's totally fine, but slow off-roading does a number on temps.

I use the XDA app to display my Torgue guages on the SYNC screen through Android Auto. I monitor boost/vac, coolant temp, transmission temp, input air temp and battery voltage. You can display any information available in Torque.

Really which our trucks had oil temp and pressure sensors instead of just a pressure switch.

What is that xda app and how can I get it?. Thanks.
