2020 Lariat Front Turn signal LED

I'm in the process of completing the LED update to all halogens in the Lariat and wanted to post the difference in speed and brightness of the LED.

The Halogen turn signal is definitely brighter which is advantageous during the day and less a problem at night.
I used the XP80 from Diode Dynamics which is a simple install. DiodeDynamics XP80

This is the speed and brightness difference. Left is Halogen, right is LED:

This is both LED combined with the factory LED rear turns.

With FORScan you can fix the fastblink in the cab thanks to @j0shm1lls

An interesting note, I didn't get fastblink with the hazard lights only the turn signals.

I suspect this is because there is sufficient load with all the lights flashing to not fast blink. Just an educated guess, I'm not expert on electrical.

Turn signals in headlights x2, puddle lamps under side mirrors x2, the actual side mirror bulbs x2, side markers x2, and I believe the license plate bulbs x2. Those are the ones I know off the top of my head, but I know there are posts that you can find using the search feature for the exact number.

I've seen videos where there are clips on the inside of the mirror housing, but my 2021 wasn't like that. I used a trim removal tool on mine, started and the top and worked my way around.

That is a Euro mirror - the turnsignal is the same, but the mirror skull cap is not

Get a good grip and pull it hard towards the front of the truck. It's a little sketchy, but it isn't that bad. Second one is easier after you figure it out.

In addition to what Mike said.
I found starting at the edge closest to the truck. You can start with a plastic pry tool at the bottom and vertical edge.

I usuulay stand next to the front fender and pull that inner edge forward.
It makes a nasty sound! But I have had mine off 5-10 times and have not broken anything. They do start to come off much easier after 1st time.

And like I commented earlier this image is NOT what ours looks like - the tabs are different. And is removed differently - so beware of videos from the UK!

Glad it worked!
And yes every time I take mine off I cringe at the sound even though I know its coming!

Thank you for posting this info on the mirror cap removal!! I watched a couple of our English friends videos that left me scratching my head! After I read this I was done and cleaned up in 10 minutes, admiring that sequential turn signal!

There is also a bulb in the fender that is NOT an LED. I changed that and the mirror turn signals with these and not turn signal hyper flashing with with either the hazards or turn signals.
