Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

Just updated mine... took about 20-30 minutes.
I did find and upload the XML file too.

Carplay is still working here (iOS 14 public beta). I had climate controls previously but those are gone now. I never used that screen anyways.

I have some errands to run later and I'll try the Carplay mic on a call. Not sure what that bug is people are referring too.

Also, the location/data sharing dialog presented itself again. :-(
We'll see if that continues to re-occur.

For a lot of folks, myself included, the microphone during calls is extremely low so the person on the other end has a hard time hearing you.

You can find out without making a call by connecting to Carplay, open the voice memo app on your phone and record yourself counting or whatever. Stop the recording and push play. If you're affected, you won't be able to hear yourself very well.

It seems like its mostly iPhone 11 Pro and Pro max people having the issue.

Hmmm, I just did the update and my climate controls are missing. I've never done any updates other than those issued by Ford. It's showing Sync 3.4, Build 20136_Product.

And as Geoff noted above, my maps are also showing NA 117.

PS: Tried to get in a chat session with Ford, and the wait time is 37 minutes! Yikes.

Did you shut off the truck, open and close the door and re-start it afterward?

I'd updated maps via Cyan a while back when I first jumped to 3.4... With this update my maps are showing NA 119. However, as I posted previously, I lost and didn't regain climate.

So we still have issues with map version reporting, or so it seems.....
Climate is probably okay as long as it wasn't lost when using CyanLabs...You'll need forescan

I wonder if it takes an install to further update that string. When I went from 3.3 -> 3.4 -> 19Q1 in my parents vehicle, it updated properly to reflect 19Q1. Prior (on 3.3) it was showing 17Q1.

But you haven't checked the mic volume right? Or have you now? Trying to get as much info on this as possible so I can share it with Ford and a couple Apple engineers.

Apple is claiming our trucks are not on the approved CarPlay list yet and may be what's causing some issues.

Yeah, it looks like this may be the case. The version string will update with 3.4 AFTER a map update is installed.
