  1. FordPass and iOS14

It might be a little early, but I think I may have identified the problem and a workaround. Others have mentioned that the battery drain only happens after connecting via USB or Bluetooth, and I've had the same experience. I've uninstalled the app, re-installed and everything is fine...
  2. FordPass and iOS14

I've been having the exact problem as everyone else. My phone actually gets warm when its draining battery so fast, which prompted me to look at the battery report in settings. Ford pass within the 30%-40% usage right at the top each time. I just turned off motion & fitness in the app...
  3. Colorado here

Hey all... Sorry I wasn't able to make a meetup this past weekend. I already had plans with a group to camp and make a few runs. But it sounds like some of us were in the same area. Hancock Pass, Tin Cup Pass, and Mt Princeton. These are the hardest trails I've done so far with the Ranger...
  4. Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

Ah! I gave it a try when I was out running errands. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, and used the voice memo app to test When I got home playback on the phone was pretty quiet! What it sounded like to me was that it wasn't even using the truck mic, but instead using the iPhone mic sitting on the...
  5. Just updated to Sync 3.4 on my Ranger 2019

Just updated mine... took about 20-30 minutes. I did find and upload the XML file too. Carplay is still working here (iOS 14 public beta). I had climate controls previously but those are gone now. I never used that screen anyways. I have some errands to run later and I'll try the Carplay mic...
  6. Colorado here

@Sandman I did venture onto the Bull park trail the weekend before, but was solo and stopped at the first rocky creek/waterfall section. No winch or sliders I didn't dare try it.
  7. Colorado here

My August is partially open so far. I've got weekend plans except for 15-16 and 22-23.
  8. Colorado here

@Sandman I think I did only a portion of Eagle Rock. (cheater!). The section that connects Mt Baldy to FS 376 back by the city reservoirs. It was steep and loose in spots but not too bad.
  9. Colorado here

Hello everyone . Just re-discovered this thread. I'm in south Colorado Springs and have been doing my first upgrades this year since purchasing in June 2019. Icon Stage 2 with UCA BFG 285/70r17 on Icon Wheels as well. Shrockworks Sliders in transit to be installed in a week or two. I've...
  10. Before & After pics....leveling kit & wheels/tires

I'm not sure the crash bars were 100% necessary, But seem like a crash bar delete has been fairly common when running the larger tires. And I think ICON even warns about trimming. I didn't want to go completely without crash bars, and the BDS parts weren't too expensive. The coilovers are at...
  11. Before & After pics....leveling kit & wheels/tires

After almost a year of ownership, I finally pulled the trigger on lift, tires, and wheels. I went with the Icon Stage 2 Coilovers with rear shocks, the ranger-specific ICON ALLOYS SIX-SPEED, 17", Satin Black, and BF Goodrich All-Terrian TA/KO2 285/70/R17 I had the stock intrusion bars replaced...
  12. Lurching into 1st on downshift...

I've got the same issue. One ford dealer in town drove with me when I brought it in and said that it was the normal behavior. The second dealer I took it too agreed with me that it was unusual. But it took three weeks before the tech could be scheduled to do a re-program. Re-programming...
  13. Jerky Stops/No 2nd Gear

I was encouraged by your post. The issues you described are exactly what I was experiencing. So a few weeks back I made an appointment to have it looked at. Long story short. The technician agreed that my truck wasn't behaving normally. But had trouble with the Ford system to download the...
  14. Report your MPG

I haven't reset Trip 1 since I purchased my 4x4 XLT in June 2019. Currently about 10,500 on the odometer. The average it's displaying is 22.5 at the moment. I use 87 octane which is the mid-range fuel here in Colorado Springs. Super happy with mileage.
  15. Chamberlain My Q wifi garage door opener

I've got this one. Quite a bit cheaper and simpler than the two-piece Chamberlain setup. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-wi-fi-garage-door-controller-for-apple-homekit-white/5933701.p?skuId=5933701 It only works with homekit. No app. I haven't seen it pop up on carplay, but Siri will...
  16. Jerky Stops/No 2nd Gear

I did try sport mode over the weekend while driving around. For some reason, the gear indicator isn't shown when doing that. But I was able to manually select 2nd, so it is working. I think I'm just observing the same behavior as everyone else. For efficiency, it skips 2nd for normal up and...
  17. Jerky Stops/No 2nd Gear

I'm over 5500 miles now. I'll try sport mode and see if that changes things at all. I've read that sport uses all the gears, and doesn't skip for efficiency.
  18. Jerky Stops/No 2nd Gear

Hey all... I've followed and posted in a couple of threads about the difficulties I've had with smooth stops. Symptom: Coming up to a stoplight, I can put even pressure on the pedal to slow. The truck slows and downshifts, but right at the last second before a stop, it seems to downshift hard...
  19. ProComp 2.25" with modified crash bars

For those just interested in the crash bars BDS has a kit. Not sold by 4wheel parts tho, but my local shop said they would install if I brought them in. https://blog.bds-suspension.com/?p=18899
  20. Smooth Braking/Brake modulation

Just following up. I had my dealer appointment this morning. I even wrote a nice note for the technician describing the issues. The braking/modulation, and clunk going from reverse to drive. Right away he looked at the odometer, and told me that it was still "learning" He said it can take up...
