I think that applies to all the fobs with remote start.
Not sure either is looks like the XLT fob may have the LED in the middle which means I am incorrect.

Funny this whole thread and no one mentions what the first thing a wife or girlfriend would notice within 3 minutes of sitting in ether the driver's seat or passenger seat of a Lariat. The sun visors on both sides have lighted mirrors!!!! :turkey::turkey::turkey:

I’ve got the factory remote start on my XLT w 301A package. I also have the tech, sport, FX4, and tow packages. I like that Ford let’s people pick what they want or don’t want on their trucks.

I am thinking the extended cab removes a couple speakers and the sub due to the shortened interior space.

So far I am still leaning toward the Lariat - at this point mostly because of the heated mirrors and better sound system. At some point might swap out seats for XLT ones, or find cloth seat covers. Maybe a decent sub (nothing fancy) can be wired into the factory system considering the extended cab probably doesn't have the factory sub?

Does anybody happen to have specs of the curb weight on their door sticker of a optioned out XLT and Lariat? Curious if theres much of a difference. I'm thinking only maybe by a hundred pounds.

The XLT key fobs have remote unlock and lock, you have to push the button to unlock or lock them, whereas the Lariat you leave the fob in your pocket & just put your hand on the door handle and they unlock.

You can get the B&O system in supercabs. I've driven an FX4 Lariat supercab that has it. It's actually still on the lot the last I looked at their website. It's a REALLY nice truck and I was tempted but I thought a crew cab would serve me better.
Was the truck a 2022? I have a 2020 lariat super cab and the B&O was N/A for it.

It is a 2021. And you may be right, the window sticker does not say B&O stereo, but I would swear there was a B&O emblem on the door speaker pods. It's the only Lariat I've ever been in and I remember seeing it & thinking that it sounded pretty dang good for a factory system, and then I got in an XLT supercab and noticed it didn't sound as robust. Dunno, maybe Mandela Effect. ?

I 'm happy with my XLT as it has a few of the goodies the Lariat has. One thing I don't like is the 3 inch Sync screen.
I can live without navigation, rarely go into the city and I just use Google Maps on my phone.
But the dang thing apparently doesn't have an XM tuner built in.
I've had XM Sirius since it came out and now I miss it.

My window sticker and build sheet mentions XM Sirius, but I can't find a way to go to satellite mode.
I asked the salesperson I bought it from and they have no clue.
I've been listening to music stored on my phone, on thumb drives and an Amazon music app on my phone.
I did listen to XM streaming thru my phone for a while, but it comes and goes according to the phone signal.

I've always like chrome on Pickups and Harleys, but I agree with the other poster that the Ranger looks good without chrome. I have a ring of a satin grey around the grille, but everything else is black.

Local dealer had an XLT Tremor and a Lariat Tremor (now mine!)- XLT had manual adjusting seats among other things. I agree that I would have preferred the XLT instrument panel.

I am disappointed with the fact that there is no useful information on the right display in the Lariat dash. Everything that can be displayed is on the Sync screen making the display redundant. The programming exists to display boost, air fuel ratio, voltage, cylinder head temp, oil temp and oil pressure on the dash display. Since the XLT doesn't display any of that either I am even more disappointed in the XLT dash. It is almost identical to the dash that was in my two Ecoboost Mustangs which displayed all of those parameters in the center display.

The right-side display in the Lariat dash is useful for displaying navigation info while the disc jockey in the passenger seat is using the Sync 3 screen.

The right-side display in the Lariat dash is useful for displaying navigation info while the disc jockey in the passenger seat is using the Sync 3 screen.
If you are using navigation the Nav system takes precedence over any of the other Sync screens when you are approaching a turn. So, the passenger seat disc jockey gets bumped off until after the turn making the next turn info in the dash redundant.

I just don't understand why they don't give you the option of selecting information about how the truck is performing.
