Another option to put your stuff somewhere would be tray below the center console, something like this, or maybe one that only covers half of it.

I have one that has 3 compartments from amazon - fits well...... again ford needs to pay some more attention to the interiors ----simple things like this. And I have no idea why new cars dont come with a phone mount place of some type we all use a phone
that is a nice tray though -- its simple but one hing that'd be nice is a little handle or something to make it easy to lift up and replace one handed the looks like it fits very well. one of the problems I have with my console tray is that it is kinda hard to get ahold of I generally drop it

I bought the Amazon one... https://www.amazon.com/CDEFG-Accessory-Organizer-Compatible-Material/dp/B08772ZWC3 but I get @thewhiteranger concerns about lack of open/accessible compartments. I prioritized wireless charging and AA above that. There's also the door pocket...
thats the one I have --- I like it but its a little hard to pull up and out one handed and I did have to notch the front to make the door close all the way the little pegs on the lid were hitting but it was very easy and fits very well ---- should've been OEM.

I use the little front tray for my phone - sitting upside down in the space to the left in front of the buttons and of course..... hand sanitizer and the F. ing masks pens etc. that we all have laying around our center console is a bit awkward to get in and out of without looking while driving. I really am looking into the wireless car play as well -- I WAZE everywhere to avoid traffic and speed radar around here (I know ..... slow down ...... ). its nice to have on the big display..... oh thats another issue with the wireless pad I just thought of --- still need to. plug in to get car play as of right now. I suppose the cord could come up to the front pretty easily. just finished wash wax vacuum and interior detailing --- its been awhile but looks great today!!!

yep, still work in progress though.
it looks great -- -one thing Id suggest is a little notch or something on the front to get ahold of it easily one handed while driving -- maybe on the wireless charge pad also that'd make the area under it semi-hidden storage almost like a door ............. you do good work with that printer thing is there another option to buy the other without pay pal?

The bracket sits pretty tight in the center console and while there is plenty of usable space for CP/AA adapters and such, it's not really usable as hidden space to store stuff that you need to get to. The armrest area is a much better place for that.

I will play with the idea of a charging pad in the armrest tray but I was wondering if all XLT/Lariat have a 12V outlet in the rear to get power from?

Well not as fancy. Wireless charger. It does get hot up there. Thats a problem. But have a cord there for android play too. Have a multiport plug in hidden behind the cover in front. That is where the charger and the camera cord are hidden. So I only have the one plug plugged into the vehicle, all cords hidden behind covers. Nice and neat.

Yeah I ordered one too. Very excited to get it soon. I had the wireless charging in my Colorado, so it'll be nice to have the one thing Ford *should* have included in the "technology package" back.

Inside the console, or on the outside (in the back seat area essentially)?

Well, the there is none inside the console under the armrest and I just checked my wife's Lariat and she has two USB-A and a 120V but no 12V in front of the rear seats. The USB-A may be 2A each (charge only), not a good basis for a high power phone charger under the center armrest unless one wants to take it all apart.

I have an XLT and there is no power or usb in my armrest - wish there was seems like it would be easy to do because there is a power outlet on the back of the armrest for the rear seat passengers

I've been using the front USB for wired carplay since I got the truck and it keeps my phone fully charged. The issue I think is the power draw on the charge pad. The charging pad may only be enough to keep the power level while in use, not really charge it up.
