Retired, work is a four letter word.
Must be replying to post #7? I cannot see it so it must be from one of about 3 members I’ve blocked/ignored. Keeps the blood pressure down.

I was going to say, that looks like a hell of a mount. I really don’t know what it takes to make it winch worthy. I bet fewer people cut you off though!
I also was wondering who he was replying to, I must have blocked the same guy.

Nah, I haven’t blocked anyone and I don’t see that post either.

As others have mentioned i'd be very leery of mounting a winch that high up and most bull bars aren't all that strong and made more for looks. I went with a Westin winch tray that is mounted directly to the frame.

Would you mind sharing some pics of the mounting point? I was looking at this tray as an option and assumed it mounted in place of the tow hooks just like the brush guard in the OP. Is it mounted somewhere else?

Give me a couple days and I will pull the skid plate for some decent pics. It does mount where the stock tow hooks were, you will need to either ditch the skid plate or make some mods like I did to retain it. There are 2 additional straps one on each side which also tie the mounts into the frame, those are a little tedious as the directions aren't super clear on what needs to happen and what goes where. The fit is excellent and it's a robust and sturdy piece.

i have the same winch mount. it does take the place of the recovery points. it is on the frame, reinforced from ford and the winch mount hardware. its stout. the bolts holding the winch onto the plate or the winch "body" will give up before the winch mount setup does. im not really a fan of westin anything. but the winch max mount plate is a good product. my only complaints with it is that the plate dimensions are a tight squeeze for my winch to to fit (12.5k electric) but it does fit fine. the other complaint is the extras for the setup are over priced. westin sells a bull bar, light bar, recovery points etc. that mount on the winch plate. if i remember correctly it was around 100 just for the 2 recovery points. i decided that was not worth it. re used the ford recovery points with new grade 8 hardware, with slight modification to ford parts they bolted right up to the westin plate with no issue or new holes only cost a cutting wheel and the new hardware.
