Just hit 48.5K miles! Found some low mile take off sport wheels 17" with tires for under $400! Just put them on at 48K. Averaging 20-21mpg romping on it nearly every on ramp. Transmission still clunks from time to time going into reverse/drive and slow coast. Otherwise great truck sipping 87 octane. Next truck in my list is the Hybrid Maverick the perfect work truck for swimming pool biz.

I can totally see the Maverick being a great choice for businesses that do light light hauling an loads. An awd 2.0T is tempting to me since I'm more into the sport truck stuff than the off road stuff. I've helped 3 of my kids move with my ranger an I plan to move myself if the market ever returns to reason. My buddy owns a moving business so he did all the big stuff an we did all the boxes an stuff in the ranger. I could probably get by with the maverick for that too. You are right the new ranger is pretty much worthless for reaching over the sides to get stuff in an out unless you're an NBA height person.

Just hit 70K miles! Transmission still clunks from time to time like it always has. Other than tire rotations and oil changes every 5K miles it drives great.

Next up is spark plug change and cabin air filter. Will check engine air filter also.
Aside from changing the rear diff fluid.... any other maintenance to do?

I ordered a gray Maverick Hybrid pretty well optioned for $27K about 3 months ago before the price increase. Hope to get it sometime next year.... before summer would be nice! Double the mpg of my current Ranger.

That is right in line with the times I'm getting. 93 tune by Torrie, Mishimoto intake, Mountune IC, Turosmart BOV, CVF downpipe, MBRP behind that, best time so far has been 13.56 @ 102.15 on the dragy app. Hope to get to a track soon and see what it will do.

Have you changed the engine air filter? I did a fair bit of dusty dirt roads in some of the parks out west, and pre-emptively bought a new air filter to replace. The damn thing looks perfect still at 20K miles, a lot of it offroad.

A big reason I don't want to put a performance intake on is i don't want to compromise filtering capability.

The air cabin filter on the other hand... collects leaves, has an odor fairly quickly. i've cleaned it out a few times and just replaced.

And I'm guessing, just like the aftermarket dumped us, no one is going for 12's anymore.
