Who is running 12's in the 1/4? I did some weight reduction on mine!

I think I can squeeze 2 more runs in by the end of the night, I'm in line for another run now. I'm not doing the waterbox, I'm avoiding it altogether. It doesn't really make sense on stock tires, but for this next run, I've dropped the rear tires to 20psi since last run I spun when brake boosting to 2k

Great ET !
I’m limited to the water box at SGMP..... water burnout , left on second light spinning, still crappy 2.19 sec. 60 ft, 25lbs air , I’ll try 20. EDIT: and less brake boost
Good Luck !

So for the plugs, as far as I understand, the colder range plug allows for more boost to be added while also reducing knock and preignition. As for the header wrap, honestly I did it mainly to reduce the high pitch pinging sound that catless pipes are known to produce.
More boost then more torque to the wheels and faster starts for quicker times may be better economy for normal driving as well or not.
Thanks Darek, for your answer.

13.556 is pretty damn quick for a 'stock-ish' truck, nice job. My 2013 SHO with the performance package ran a 13.499 stock. Enjoy!

Fastest run of the night!! I hit the limits of the stock tires, any more brake boosting and I spun off the line and killed my run, any less and I didn't get the 60ft time killing my run lol

I have the 17 inch alloy but not the sport wheels. The stock Bridgestone Duelers are 255/65R17 and they are absolute garbage. 110 treadwear so in a sense they are softer so they stick a little better but I've only got 9,500 miles on my truck and they are almost to the wear bars. The fastest pass was with the rears at 25psi too.

I just hit 19,500 miles a little over 7 months later from this post! Also added factory aluminum Ranger 17" rims which made it look much better. Avg mpg without any tune/adjustments is 21mpg around 40% city and mostly 60% freeway going 70-75mph hwy with 87 octane. The bed is working great for my needs (swimming pool biz) and I'm digging the truck overall. The transmission has a 1-2 shift clunk and Rev to Drive clunk as well which I'll have time to address this winter when things slow down at work. It's middle of October and supposedly to be mid 80's/low 90's here in the SF Bay Areas still!

Mine are duelers too. I wonder if a taller tire would help, mine is about 28” tall. It’s hard to find a drag radial rim /tire combo that has the same height.
Regards
Hi Doc,

I do not know much about drag radials, but there are really sticky Autocross tires that are shaved to almost being slicks. They are streetable, um...well...sort of streetable. Just a thought!

I ran drag radials on my 97 cobra an I could light them up at will. I never aired them down an went down a track with them though. They would probably show their advantage on a prepped track.

Just hit 48.5K miles! Found some low mile take off sport wheels 17" with tires for under $400! Just put them on at 48K. Averaging 20-21mpg romping on it nearly every on ramp. Transmission still clunks from time to time going into reverse/drive and slow coast. Otherwise great truck sipping 87 octane. Next truck in my list is the Hybrid Maverick the perfect work truck for swimming pool biz.
