Ended up getting the 22” foam blocks from Salamander paddle gear. They work really good on the Elevate cross bars.Did you ever decide on which kayak mounts? I'm having trouble determining which ones work with the Elevate.
Which style did you get? They look like they fit over the bars pretty well. I was thinking the SUV or XSUV ones should work.Ended up getting the 22” foam blocks from Salamander paddle gear. They work really good on the Elevate cross bars.![]()

Yep, after I turned 70. Loading/unloading a hundred lb+ kayak (every weekday) on the roof isn't going to happen too easily. Is this the kind of way you carry your kayak?

I have one of those hitch extenders as well. They are fantastic! My boats are under 50 lbs each so still able to manage the roof at this point. (57, almost 58)Yep, after I turned 70. Loading/unloading a hundred lb+ kayak (every weekday) on the roof isn't going to happen too easily.
I have the Adarac M series. It's only 12" high but they have a higher version as well. You need to drill for the side rails on top of the box but it's an awesome rack system and tonneau compatible. What’s the most economic cab height rack that is compatible with a hard tonneau? I want it just for a canoe (happy to put foam mounts under the front on the cab). Would love to be able to bring it while towing. To date I’ve just thrown in the bed with an extender. Not feasible while towing.
