Couple of guys trapped in their rolled over jeep got out unburned because I carried/carry a fire extinguisher. The jeep burned to a crisp.

I carry a first aid kit, a plug kit along with a air pump, and a small repair kit. If I need anything else there's a Wal Mart on every corner, and a Ford dealer just down the street from the Wal Mart in every town. So far after 11 road trips of 5K+ miles I've not needed anything else (knock wood). :)

Oh, I forgot one other thing. I always carry my "little friend" under the front seat by my right leg. :)

For daily driver spare parts I carry fuses in the glove box.

Road tripping or wheeling more than 50 miles from home I carry 2 x inner and outer wheel bearings, extra belts, an air filter, oil, steer/brake/tranny/windshield fluid, and often 2 x spare tire. Adding a spare alternator to the kit.

Past the basics that have been mentioned multiple times so far, I plan on getting a spare CV axle. I’ve always had one in my 4x4s. Maybe an alternator too since that seems to be an issue with these trucks.

I used to carry spare U-joints. Does the Ranger even use them anymore? They only come up as universal parts, which I guess they might be.

I snapped one doing burnouts in an old F150 many years ago. Driveshaft fell right out the bottom!

I carry a recovery kit but no extra parts. However, I always carry my wallet and I make sure to bring along an extra arm and a leg in case I have to buy parts or accessories. ???? ?
Oh. At first, I thought you meant prosthetics.

I carry 2 oz hand sanitizer (also makes a good waterless hand cleaner) microfiber rag, a strap on led flashlight, disposable vinyl gloves, 4" Crescent wrench, small needle nose ViceGrips, fuse assortment, and iPhone and Ford Visa card for anything bigger that broke than the other stuff can't fix.

I was discussing this topic with another truck owner and he had a great suggestion: a N52 magnet. They are great for temporarily tacking down something or when you are working on your truck away from your garage to keep all the screws, nuts and bolts from rolling away.
