What is this in the windshield

What is this at the odd angle in the mirror/camera space on the windshield. I just noticed it while cleaning the windshield. Any idea what this yellow piece of spaghetti looking thong is? Surly it should not be at this weird angle.

Correct it's the lane assist and the forward facing camera. You'll notice on the gauge cluster when you get close to another vehicle it will show the Ranger and a beam fanning out to the vehicle in front at the distance you set.

I have Used the lane assist many times as well as cleaned my windshield many times. But I have never noticed the crooked line across this space on my windshield. Being crooked, instead of level makes it look like it has fallen off of something or is out of place. Guess the engineers know something about crooked lines. Thanks for the assistance and sorry if this has been asked before. But if I don’t know what it is, don’t know what to search for. ?

The best speculation is that the angle keeps the line from interfering with all the horizontal stuff on the road or somesuch.

Yellow wire is a heater for the forward camera. If the window does fog up you get a message saying the crash prevention system is offline. Once that wire heats up warning disappears
