I've had it in a few times like many of you for little bs quality control issues that a new vehicle should not have. Came from a full size 4 door pickup that I drove for a decade, most of my gripes are tied to downsizing but many positives are from downsizing...so in that arena its kinda a wash. There are many things pro/con for me. When I'm out and about when folks ask me about it I say I'm about 80% happy with it. In about three years I should be between 50-55,000 miles and thats when I will see what's out in the market and if I want to change type or make/model of what I'm driving.

As for accessories, for trade-in purposes I really dont get crazy. The few items I have done I'm happy with.

The Ford accs. part hood deflec tor . It seems to have taken away the sweeping good looks of the hood but I can deal with it if helps keep the rain from the windshields .

Honestly, so far, this is the only regret I have at this point, and I've put quite a few things on it since purchase only a year ago.

I am still a little unsure of the RAM Mount passenger seat mount for my tablet, but there's not really a better way to mount a tablet in the cab with the way it's configured.

I still have quite the list of things to do though, so we'll see if I regret anything. As others have mentioned, I generally do a fair bit of research before doing any purchases/upgrades/mods, but man, that Extang seal was absolute garbage.

Meh, I don't want to deal with feeding it 100,000 quarters. What if the car gets hung up half way down? Pretty hard to rock it.

Ok, dont put long seat belt covers on. I transfered over some comfortable ones to my Ranger. Well the Ranger seatbelts have a safety loop that holds the buckle up, which I like. After getting the covers on, the belts wont retract all the way because the cover can't slide down due to the safety strap and catches on the guide on the B pillar.

I wanted to contribute to say thanks for the info on the Eibachs and Livernois is interesting too.

1) The Ford hard tonneau cover,
2) Plastic bedliner
3) 2 swing-away bed boxes

1) I've had hard folding covers on my last 3 trucks and this is the only one that leaks. Weird, because it looks like the Ford cover is a BakFlip and my others were Bakflip also. I don't really view this as a regret, but I'm disappointed I didn't get a different cover that seals better.

2) The bedliner just makes it too hard to get at the tie-down hooks; especially when loaded. If Ford had put the hooks up higher, it wouldn't be an issue, because I've had liners before and never saw this as a problem.
This one, at least, got solved for me. At 2000mi a forklift rammed my box and cab, and also damaged the liner. I had insurance spray the box instead of replacing the liner.

3) I should have only bought 1 box. The bed is small enough and 2 boxes takes up too much room for me. I find I'm always pulling one of the boxes out.
I agree on the Ford tonneau cover. I replaced it with an undercover flex. Turns out that the track in the Ford version did not have the proper bracing. Once I installed the bracing with the new one it has worked great and had a good seal. The Ford version is not even secure much less waterproof. It sucks because I think they all come from the same manufacturer but the Ford one they cheaped out. So lesson learned - official Ford accessories are a waste of good money. Too expensive for inferior accessories.

Highly! What you're missing is the extra hp and torque that we dampered ones have found. ?

Seriously though it's not like the tailgate is heavy but it's a nice mod when your hands are full and you need to lower it. Instead of dropping everything or just letting it crash down it will drop slowly. Just another nice feature like power windows or door locks.

Use code WELCOME at checkout for free shipping.

For the damper there are lovers and haters and those who love to hate. I love the damper.

Then you just stand around and wait for the next person to buy so yours comes out too.

Unless it doesn't and then you both stand around...
