I think the string idea is a good one ... thanks. Yes the rocks they can be trouble. Sorry to say I can't use the "Ah, the folly of youth" one anymore...I'm 75 (although I do still ride my snowboard?).

Does anyone know if 3/4 marker lights will work on the rocker panel holes? Mine are actually sealed, but since I have not used running boards in some time I've considered adding ground illumination tied to the factory courtesy lighting when you open door or use keyfob.

By the way they won't, the grommet for them fits perfectly, but the lights themselves are too long. You would have to drill out the holes about another 1/4".

But thats OK, cause I just thought of something really stupid I am going to do using the running board mounting bolts since I don't use running boards for a while now. Courtesy low level lighting for the ground is amateur hour, how about a mini hidden flood light bar on each side? Buahahaha....

It was a good USP and USPS day. UPS dropped off the Ford tailgate cover. USPS left a stubby antenna, a bag full of rubber plugs to cover the holes in the rocker panels, and wait for it...........................
