Warn Zeon 10s Platinum (which I stupidly didn't take off before trade in. Didn't realize that winch had gone up $1k since I bought it)

Honestly, I miss it, but the trade was too good. I will definitely be getting another Wrangler as a second vehicle. 2 door next time.

You could say it was a shit situation for me. I still remember the month all together. When I moved to Colorado I had 2 vehicles. A 2016 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner(2WD) and a 1983 280ZX. My boss told me "No matter what you think you are getting a 4WD" and he didnt say it had to be new. I was also upside down on the Frontier. Well I found myself a 1992 Nissan Pathfinder in Denver for cheap(and it was a ShitBox). I got the Pathfinder fixed at the beginning of October of 2019. Roght after that I took the Frontier to Denver for a concert(it was worth it too). On my way home I was about 20 minutes out and a deer jump out in front of me. The truck wasnt totaled but it was put in the body shop for 2 months. Due to this i only had the Pathfinder to drive since the 280 needed some work and wasn't a good choice for wonter driving. Well during that time I found out i was a day older than the Pathfinder(what are the odds of that?!). For the rest of the month I found all sorts of issues with the Pathfinder but wanted to do so much to it and get it right..... Until the fateful day.... October 30th 2019..... I was on my way to work and we had a fairly heavy snow storm the night and day before. Due to this we had snow and ice all over the place. Dont forget about black ice either(it is nasty and will make you cry). On my way to work I ended up hitting a patch of Black Ice, did a 180° and slid into a snow bank. The moment I hit the snowbank I went rolling!! I probably rolled at least 5 times and landed upside down. I was awake the entire time and came out without a scratch(talk about luck).

I still made it into work that day and then I found out how kind Ford is to dealership employees. The dealer also did what they could to help out. That night I got into my 2019 Ranger without even test driving one.

After that the rest was history.

Here is the damage on both the Frontier and the Pathfinder!!! And the day after getting the Ranger!!

Regret selling the shelby every time I’m getting on an access ramp or passing someone on the highway. But living every day with the ranger is 1000 times better.

Sold my 2000 Jeep XJ and got my 2019 Ranger. Really miss that Jeep...more than my 06 TJ. Darn thing would literally crawl and claw it's way over anything I threw at it. Guy got a STEAL at $4k in mid 2019 when prices were still low.

2000 XJ Sport with 234k, 4.0L 4x4. Modded with a 4" OME lift and 31" tires, Bilstein 5100s, and TrueTracs front and rear, and custom sway bar disconnects F&R. H4 Cibie conversion headlights, PIAA selective yellow fogs, LED Ditch lights, and Hella Black Magic long range mounted on the bull bar, LED pod Rock lights and a Detours custom swing out tire carrier.

I have owned Hyundai's for the past 15 years. Traded in a 2019 Santa Fe that I just bought last year. I payed 21 for the Santa Fe, I owed 18. The dealer offered me 21.5 and I jumped on it. I was REALLY wanting the Ranger Raptor but I am way too impatient to wait another year. I figure that I can keep this one for 5 years, by that time I will have enough equity to make trading it in worthwhile. By that time the Ranger Raptor should have a nice list of aftermarket goodies as well. Secretly I might look at the new ZR2 as well...

I absolutely love the carbonized gray color. There was a cactus gray Fx4 sitting right next to the one I purchased that I almost got instead. My father in law was at the dealership with me looking at a ranger for himself and spotted the cactus gray ranger next to the one I ended up buying. I, being the nice guy I am, told him to get started on the buying process for it and I’ll go with the carbonized gray ranger. So we went through the process of buying mine and got done before my father in law started buying his. Signed my paperwork, and BAM!…proud new Ranger owner. I am happy. Then my father in law sat down to buy his. He got about 3/4 of the way through the process and changed his mind and backed out. My chin hit the floor . He backed out on the one I initially wanted AFTER I signed my paperwork. I was upset…moderately. I mean, I still had a new Ranger after all. But in the end I am super happy and satisfied with the one I have. I love my truck and will be holding onto it for many years to come.

On a side note, my wife and I recently purchased a 2022 Bronco Sport…in cactus gray. My father in law looked at and said, “That’s a really nice color.” I looked at him and said, “I know. That was the color of the Ranger I wanted. Don’t you remember?” Just some good ol’ fashion ribbing.

I sold my 2018 Escape SEL AWD to Carvana in March 2021. Slick process, I would deal with them again .I was paid exactly what they appraised it for, no extra fees, deductions etc and they picked itup within the timeframe they said they would. It was a star-crossed car. Neither one of us liked it, we bought it thinking we wanted to downsize from our 2015 Flex. The 2016-2019 1.5 L EcoBoost 4 has a history of coolant intrusion into the cylinders; many were replaced with a short or long block. Ours never hatched, but tick tock...

Picked up my 2021 Ranger in May 2021, before all the shortages and delays.

I got an email the other day from my dealer offering to appraise my truck for a trade-in or buy out; ahh...no. I ordered it out and it is as close to my ideal as I could get and it has been flawless. I bought it with the mindset that this will be my 20 year truck, I'll take them up on their offer then.
I'll be 92 and I'll order a 2041 if they make a SuperCab. Might put it on a 84 month loan if I'm feelin' lucky.

I traded my Harley TriGlide trike in for a 2020 XL STX 2wd SCAB. I still had my 2016 Jeep Cherokee too. After about a year I sat back and thought "why am I paying taxes and insurance for two vehicles" So the XL STX and Jeep Cherokee went to the dealer for a new 2020 XLT FX4.

Yes I have had mostly Jeeps or Ford trucks most of my life. Both have always been good to me. I had a 97 F150 extended cab 4x4 with 210,000 trouble free miles on it and traded it in for a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited. That Liberty had 250,000 miles on it when my son wrecked it. The main reason for getting rid of the 97 F150 was the 4.6L V8 just didn't have the power needed to move that big truck.

Don't get me wrong, the 4.6L was a very dependable engine, it was just way to small and underpowered for a heavy half ton 4x4 long bed truck with a homemade 3" steel pipe cattle guard on the front and 33" off road tires.
