Drove by the local Ford dealership and had a look around.

I may have kicked a few tires.
I am going to take a real good look at the 2026 Raptors when they become available. I wasn't overly fond of my 22 Tremor and I traded it in with 744 miles on the clock. I replaced the Tremor with 24 GMC SLT Crew Cab 4x4 with the 3.0L baby Duramax. The GMC is a nice truck and the fuel mileage is incredible......but (although I have not had any issues yet...but then I only have 919 miles on it after 19 months) they seem to be plagued with transmission valve body and coolant control valve issues. Plus the dang DEF has a shelf life of a year before it can go bad and I am quickly approaching the second year on the origninal tank of DEF. GM did not provide any way to drain the DEF so you have to pull the fill hose off the tank & siphon it out. That does not look like a fun project if I have to do it.

I really like the body on the G6 vs the G5, so there's a chance that I may rejoin the Ford Family again.

Drove it for the first time in 5 weeks. Knee replacement still not going well. At least able to load up and do some left foot braking while going to get a few groceries!

Just the fact that you are able to get out and go grocery shopping, I call that a WIN!

Took it to Quick Lane had it serviced, it runs so much better with fresh fluids in it, walked around the lot and did a little window shopping, and went out to the Town Center mall crawling, before heading home.

The engine while in auto stop/start stopped state will not stay off long enough for the oil on the valve train to run off all the way. The oil is pretty good and clinging on for a while, as long as it's not too old and the right oil for the application.

I went out exploring, drove down to the Red River, and ya'll it's low. You can see the sandbar on both the Texas side and the Oklahoma side of the river. Then I drove across the new Bois D' Arc Lake and it's the exact opposite of the river, the water is all the way up to the lower parts of the bridge. Then I capped the afternoon off by doing a little light grocery shopping. It was fun, first time I had just went for a drive in a long time.

Getting ready to go to Tennessee. Took out my almost never used back seats. If I only could find a delete panel. There is one on eBay. But with shipping it's over $200.

I would grab it while still available. New parts will probably be over $300 (what I paid 3 years ago from Ford).....and it's possible new parts won't be available too much longer as no more Scabs being made....when in stock runs out that will be it for ever n ever......
