Pepper and I went to a retirement party, a friend with 50 years in the industry! Before I left I tried a new way to hold my phone to the dash, using the Syncwire magnetic mount. I use it to hold on to my wireless charger/holder. The last time it fell off with the original sticky tape. This time I used some magnets I think @subquark Soupy recommended. It all still comes down to the tape. It should hold in the winter, the question is will it hold here in the summer, granted it's not 150 degrees like in AZ! (I once had a Tom Tom on the dash and the tape let go and the GPS fell down and craked the screen on the shifter... it went in the electronics recycle bin at our township).

Update, I forgot my cell in the truck when I got home and went out to get it and this is what happened. BEFORE and AFTER pictures...Tape is crap. Maybe taping a holder on the dash is a no-go. Anyone have tape that is "Strong Stuff" as Elwood said? (movie reference!)

Try the NiteIze Steelie. Their products haven't let me down in 20 years.

The hobby has changed so much in the last few years, my 8 channel Futaba would probably not be welcome at the local flying field and almost everything is electric as opposed to fuel. Kudos to you for retaining the skills to fly a chopper.
There are a few folks that still fly with a dedicated Futaba , Spektrum etc transmitter but most that fly with us are using the Radiomaster T16 . It has the built-in module that works with all brands of receivers . Heck , I bought a RC truck from the Walmart toy section and found a protocol in the menu to bind it to . It's a great all in one transmitter , especially for the price .

Pulled my Ranger out of the garage so I could get at my floor jack and get my breaker bar, torque wrench, cordless impact, and compressor out of the gun case on the roof rack so I could swap over to winter wheels on my Passat.

I noticed this while topping up the tire pressure…

Hmmm, I wonder if it’s too late to change my profile name. ? ?

Newbie here! After picking up my ā€˜23 Ranger XLT SuperCrew on Saturday, 12/3, I finally had time to test this pup’s capabilities climbing i70 to Winter Park. I’m quite impressed so far! Sure beats my old Cherokee redlining to get to the mountains lol.

I haven’t done too much to it. I gave it a nice coat of 303 Nano Graphene, as that seems to be a highly regarded product on here, tinted my front two windows, got WeatherTech floor mats and bed/tailgate mats too. Is anyone here throwing sandbags in their bed during the winter months?

No hardcore off-roading, still getting used to it's feel & capability.

Haha...thought you were gonna leave him out there in the frozen Canadian wilderness!!

I don't use sandbags anymore, I just shovel some snow into the bed. The plus side is that you don't have to shovel it out when it warms up, it just melts away :).
