Nice area. I’m over on the SW Gulf Coast in the Sarasota area.
Palms, sun, swimming and boating year around never gets old.
Well that just sounds terrible!

Took the ranger over to town for a covid test for myself. Drove the country roads with some snowfall while wind was piling the snow from the fields over to the frozen road. There were clumps of 40cm of snow over the road but the ranged made it easy. Slippery as hell. On few gusts I totally lost visibility of the road as even the plowing marks on road side were not visible.

Have to say that conditions like these are best thing in having a ranger and the trip ended way too soon.

I got to do a road trip yesterday to Seattle from Beaverton (Think NIKE) 350 miles round trip for a meeting at my main office. I got 23.7 MPG doing 75 most of the way! Very happy. Lucille was very comfortable on that much driving in one day. AWESOME TRUCK to say the least!

On my 3rd month of retirement I drove to my old job to visit my old team today. 50 minutes each way. Longest drive ever. I don't know how I did it for 35 years. And to top it off my ex parts manager, who I groomed to take my place as GM put me to work teaching him some things.

No such luck. He's so tight you couldn't drive a needle up his ass with a jackhammer.
Reminds me of an GM (as general manager) in an old work place. I was visiting my old "habitat" for awhile and while there I did visit my former work place and friends there. Did an hour or two discussion with my successor, and discussed on things which I saw as problems and noted some improvement points. A friendly visit and common courtesy from my point of view.

This asshat GM (which replaced the previous retiree) there then decided to drop shit on the people for letting me into the premises, discussing the company proceedings and all that shit. Made me feel bad for visiting the place in the first place.

Luckily for everyone the CEO (and the owner) flied 8000 miles from another country just few weeks after that and canned the GM. Didn't even bother to notify anyone, just showed up at the gate and went straight to GMs office and told him to pack his shit and leave. (I'd like to take the credit, but hey, they guy was a shithead towards everyone so probably someone else's problems caused it).
