I dropped it off at the dealership for transmission problems and the sign caught on fire! Must of been a bad omen because they called and it needs a rebuild ?

What needs a rebuild?? Your transmission or the sign?!?!

Maybe I missed it, but what exhaust do you have? I have been wanting to add some exhaust, but don't want anything obnoxious. I was thinking Gibson.
Disregard Granger. I found where you provided that info. Think I'll go with Gibson duel exhaust and see how that goes.

Was going to finish up the last part of my leather interior install.

Everything is done except the door panel inserts.

Me: The only thing left is those door panels. Should be easy. Pop off the door panel, remove the insert, put the leather on it, and button everything back up. Easy Peasy.

My truck door panels:

Me: Removes rear door panel. Takes a look....

Wait......

What? There is no insert? The cloth insert is molded into the door panel?!?!?

Me:

Time estimate and difficulty doubles.

So now you glue the leather to the cloth panel, cut the leather edge VERY closely to the edge of the cloth part, just leaving enough extra to tuck into the slot around the cloth insert.

Has to be JUST RIGHT.

Too much and it won't tuck. Too little and now you'll have a gap and have to replace the leather panel.

Got the rear doors done and ran out of glue.

The fronts are the only thing left.

Installed a Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller. Spent a lot of time looking for the factory wires. Ford wasn't too generous on the length, especially difficult for a southpaw doing a right hander job. End result is fine, got everything hooked up and working.

Looks good, I did the same project, same controller last year and yeah several more inches on the OEM wires would have made the job significantly easier, or better yet when you order the trailer tow package have an integrated brake controller like is available now with the “advanced tow package “.

Wash, clay rag & 2 coats of Cerakote Platinum Rapid Ceramic Paint Sealant. Passenger door is reflection of my car in the garage. Sorry Dave, spur of the moment and no one had 303 in stock.

First time in about 10 years I didn't have my garage assistant fighting me over space, lights & sounds, she had to be put down in May due to cancer. Just wasn't the same ?

Sorry for your loss. We have been there 7 times, several were cancer.

Truck looks great though.

I booked an appointment for Soupie to get NH Oil (at their headquarters). I went back on forth on what to do to combat our grimy winter roads and finally settled on this.

I know there will be times when I regret it, especially when changing the tranny pan to PPE, but I guess oil dripping onto me is like manly moisturizer, which Kate keeps telling me to use, but I refuse to! However, I do whine like a little kid when my heels crack and hurt, you know ... macho! =p

I'll try to remember to get some before pics. I think if I'd had some Ranger-specific before and after pics, it may have been easier to decide what to use.

That’s what I had put on the last time, prior to that was fluid film once a year for 3 years. Supposedly the NH one doesn’t drop much and lasts longer.
I am at 5 years of northern Vermont driving with over 60k and zero rust on undercarriage.

I miss my little Cheech all the time. Crap, getting watery eyes writing this.

We have our new old man, 9-year old Kota. Nice to have another guy but doesn't ease the loss.

Sorry for your loss, she looks like a great partner. She's probably riding in the bed keeping an eye on you. =)

I believe that mount is for the Lariat trim only. The vent is not glued in on the Lariat trim.

yeah, lesson learned. To late now though. I think I can clean up the edges a little bit but its in and I am happy. I can always replace the dash top, if I need to (sale or something) but... I am good with it.
