If you repaint. Repaint with steel it. Its expensive as hell but its weldable paint.
I had to look up Steel it when you mentioned it in your build post, $60CDN +/can is a kick in the stones, lol. Great project you have going BTW, looking forward to the finished product!

I already bought a case of Raptor which I will be using on the bumper, sliders, fenders, doors and rear quarters. It's bed liner, but I'll be reducing 15-20% for a less aggressive texture. It was supposed to be this summer, but my house fire and loss of my 'paint booth' put a D in that plan. House construction is supposed to start in the next month or so, hopefully I can build a new shop next year, and temporary paint booth will be it's first assignment. I have a few feelers out for rental paint booths, maybe something will come up sooner and I can at least get the bumper done, then deal with the body panels next year.

I'm all done with drilling and modding my bumper now, unless I do extension to match the flares which I would do before I paint it, so I don't really need weldable paint. The bumper will get sand blasted and etch primed, and Raptor should be enough to keep it in good condition for a decade after that.

Thanks for the tip though, I will likely buy and try the Steel it on other projects. :)

Got gas. Sad so expensive still, I don’t want this price to be normalized. Might have to start driving “economically” :headbang:

Sorry to hear about your loss hopefully its a blessing in disguise. I got my can at a local hardware store for half that price, but id assume prices vary location to location. Thank you for support.

If you don’t mind me asking did you order it or get it at a store. When I went to two different auto stores they said they don’t stock them.
Got it at the Dealership here! OEM filter!
