And as for wrapping the dash, you’re not wrong.
Apart from fear of breaking things, the bits all come out ok. But there’s just too many curves for a first timer. I spent hours and got a very mediocre result.

I love the look of gloss black but, changes the whole interior feel, so I figure if I do the doors too and I start to get better, I’ll try the dash again.

Else, I may just have to have it painted, which I want to do, but don’t really want to have done. I’m still thinking. I’ll leave this on for a few weeks and see what I think then. I could also get a pro to wrap it, but will cost twice what my painter friend would charge me to paint the whole lot.

Used to prop open your garbage can
yeah, but make sure to leave it unattached and in the packaging, who wants to wait an eternity for the lid to open while you've got your hands full of chicken entrails?

I posted these in the "what came in the mail" thread a couple of days ago. I just completed the swapping from blue/chrome ovals to the new black/smoke ovals.
Should have been my very first mod. Definitely compliments the rest of the "Blackout package".
Don't know why Ford didn't do it as part of the package.
Staying true to the blue I guess.

I managed to fit the ARB skid plate with the AFN bumper.

Here is the virgin skidplate.

First step was to cut the lip off. The 3 bolts are only used when you have the ARB bumper, which I do not.

Then I needed to create notches to clear the new tow hooks.

And the finished product.

I am going to be pulling the skid plates to paint them completely black... sometime in the near future. Other than that, its done. Still a lot of work to do on the bumper, to get it completed, but that will wait for a warmer day.

today was a horrible day for me and my rangers. normally as soon as weekend hits im rollin to some place out of the way or off roading, fishing etc. This weekend I bought gas for the 5g. then had a cry. went home and realized i couldnt afford to do my normal due to the clown shoes prices on fuel and basically everything else. So i did the dishes to distract myself. by 10 pm id washed clothes, swept floors, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed and re arranged my home stereo. gosh it was terrible... im supposed to be stinking of catfish and bait or looking at a sky full of stars in the middle of no place while laying in the back of the truck by now. i guess i might as well go back to work
