What did you do to your Ranger today?

Picked up some 285/75/16 Nitto Trailgrapplers on steel wheels for a song. Now the ride is terrible, but at least it has a little bit more offroad ability ? No scraping or rubbing with the stock ride height either...

Installed the Rough Country 6in Bumper LEDs. They look great, but it is a total pain in the tail to do, and took 5 hours. Definitely not for the timid!

Nice - those slots have also looked like they needed some lights in them!
I noticed TX still requires a front plate. When I was living in Ft Worth the rumor was the only reason we still had them was the tolls at DFW airport. Funny thing was back then the person in the booth was supposed to read the lic plate as you puled up. But they never would they waited for you to pull up and there was a camera to read the rear plate! ?


Oh what did I do today!?
Painted the silver front bumper valance. Working on the skid plate. While I have the skid plate off I added some leftover sound deadening. Not sure if it will make any difference, in my head I am sure it will!
And tinted the front windows FINALLY.

Almost all of the new freeways in Texas are tolls, and the major freeways have tolled express lanes. There are no attendants, as they have camera to read the front/back plate and you also have an RFID sticker on your windshield. At DFW, they still have like two maned booths, but the rest are tag/plate readers.

Makes no sense to have the front plate with the RFID sticker. And would save $$$. Oh well bureaucracy...

Man oh man, they look like 35s in those wheel wells. Nice!

A photo of the front level. The dealer was able to get it to 38.5" in the front, so there is a slight rake still, but it looks damn good and rides amazing. Mike Maroone Ford in Longmont is killer. Alignment was completed to spec.

Added the ranger decal to the tailgate. Looks good. I sort of wanted a different color like red or black but it didn't really go well with the blue. Plus I can leave the front alone because it's already chrome.
