This was more than a day! More like a week..
Having had issues with dealerships in the past on MODS, I decided to go with the least amount of finger pointing.

To be socially accepted in this forum my first mod was a Ford rebadged DeeZee tailgate damper/strut.
Since then;
1... Putco Black stainless tailgate lettering.
2... Front grille ABS Gloss black lettering.
3.. Ignition switch bezel (can't believe there wasn't one).
4.. Passenger dash lettering.
5.. Homelink module (still try to find vinyl dye spray color code for it)?
6.. Bed lighting. (See notes below).
7.. Puddle or step bar lighting. (See notes below).
8.. Tinted front windows outsourced (25% VLT legal limit here).
9.. Tonneau cover. (with 5' bed trying to find a full folding hard cover like BAK but without adding such great cost).
10.. Today adding clear lens side markers with amber LED.

NOTES:
Electrical and Instrumentation has been my bread and butter for over 45 years. So after looking at the control logic of the BCM I had concerns with the FET outputs having NO downstream protection except for reverse polarity!!
I went with a new power fused distribution box. Ran loom harnesses wiring sizes for voltage drop, etc. All my electrical power mods are distributed from there. I built a control box with a 2 channel receiver and a timer module added downstream. I can remote control lights with around 7 minute time delay off, toggle channel A to recycle if needed. Channel B future off the road lighting.
For now I did use the Cargo wire (white/green tracer) for puddle/step bar. I haven't designed an opto-isolated circuit for it yet, working on it. Enough for now nd sorry for the long post.

AGAIN THANKS, to all the members for their insight and posts on this forum, that's what makes a forum.

Nice looking Ranger! Now that you've popped your cherry and got the required tailgate damper mod out of the way welcome to the club! ?

I ordered a Safari Snorkel today! Now to develop the intestinal fortitude to drill a hole in my fender and a-pillar to install it! LOL

??FROM NERVES!
My dad always called it testicular fortitude ha, but I get what you're saying. Not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. Best of luck and get pictures!

Ughhh. So I ordered a small LED light bar from eBay that finally arrived yesterday. It was only 16" and one of those Chinese specials, so inexpensive. UPS seemed to have lost it, and refused to help me find it (it was showing stuck in Atlanta, for over a week, just miles from my house). Well yesterday I think I figured out what happened. I think it fell out of the box and UPS didn't know what to do with it. It was missing all of the brackets and hardware, and now looked "used".

I got the seller to accept me returning it for a refund, and I ordered a 12" light bar from Rough Country that is 10,800 lumens. That should be bright enough!

I'll be fastening this to my bull bar front and center:

Installed my Westin HDX Drop Steps. And the wife said they look good. Not required but nice to hear. :like:
Thankfully my brother in law has a heated garage so I defrosted the inch of snow on the truck and rolled around in the wetness putting them on. At least it was warm. I didn't need them to get in the truck but they do help getting in without crushing the side of the seat. I'm no lightweight so that will help the seat last as long as the truck. And the wife wanted something to help her get in.
Install was easy with the second side going on in less than 30 minutes. Total of maybe 2 hours from unpacking and sorting to torquing and testing. A dry truck would have sped up that time, had to dry off the glasses several times.
Got them on Amazon for a good price, more than $100 cheaper than anywhere else, got the stainless for less than the full black bars. They were back-ordered so I waited about 3.5 weeks for them but for the price, it was worth the wait.
Not a whole lot of choices in boards with the S/Cab. Would rather have had something that ran wheel to wheel but these look good to me and haven't seen a lot of them out there.
Next up a bed cover so I don't have to shovel out the bed again.

Looks good KJ - I've always wondered if those HDX side steps stuck out very far but those seem to be tucked in very nicely. I had the same issue shopping for side steps for my 2019 XLT Super Cab. It seems there are only a few choices out there and when you find what you like, there's no inventory. I'll be ordering those this week. Man, I thought finding pocket flares for my Super Cab was tough!
