I‘m sure it still is for some folks. GM Canada made some cars for the Canadian market only but I’m not sure which ones. I think @puckdodger worked at GM in Oshawa and might know.
We made the Chevelle and Beaumont, the Corvair, and oh so many Impalas. That's before I started there in 1985. We also made Chev Celebrity, Pontiac 6000, Buick Century....I am gonna get dizzy if I keep trying to remember what else lol

We didn't make a lot that were specifically Canadian models in my time there... We did produce a few thousand Malibu to ship to Iraq but then they refused to accept them so they were sold cheap to the workers and at auction. Tough cars, those "Iraqi Taxi's".

A few of the toys I build, modify or work with. A few mini bikes, a rifle being bedded, the teardrop camper, a couple of knives, a cabinet, you know, I just can't stop working on things when I'm retired.

65 Dart has been my Covid project. Was sitting in a shop with a blown transmission for 20+ years. Picked it up in March 2020. Rebuilt the trans, rebuilt/modified the slant 6, added disc brakes, new suspension, wheels, etc. Fun weekend cruiser.

Did you see the Engine Masters episode where they built a slant 6 to match the HP of the factory 383 Power from that era?

I saw the episode, it took a supercharger to get the power.

Below is a picture of the Slant 6 that was in my 68 Barracuda when I finished the resto-mod in 2000. In 2005 I dropped in a 360 which is in it now.

Also, here is a picture of a turbo Slant 6 a friend of mine built for his 37 Willies shop truck. He fabricated the intake and exhaust. The turbo, fuel injectors and ECU are from an 85 Grand National.

Wow, looks great.
I bought a '78 new and sold in 2012, when I bought a Jeep, for more money than I paid for it new.
Thanks; this was a late 77 build. Was looking for a Willys flat fender Jeep & my son saw an add for this instead. It was on a farm…on an island. We raced to the nearest ferry terminal (@ 50 miles) & found it parked in a field. I told him “if it starts, we’re buying it”. It did. Fortunately-it was essentially ‘unmolested’/mostly stock (except the color—originally white).
