  1. Scheduled remote starts

Here’s my deal. Say my Ranger is in my driveway in Maine (it is) and I’m in California (I am). I was planning on remote starting it every 5 or 7 days to keep it charged. Now it seems that I can’t do that because you have to actually start it up in person. Is that correct? That sucks!
  2. Scheduled remote starts

Am I understanding this right? If I schedule a remote start, say every Tuesday at 8:00PM, I need to actually start it all the way between remote starts, or it won’t start “every Tuesday at 8:00PM”?

My 1965 Double door Bus making an amphibious landing on Balboa. She does the quarter mile in just under a minute (with a tailwind).
  7. The Lima Motor I would say has proven itself.

Hi Phil, love your advice & stories. I thought I remembered you mentioning SuperVee before. Curious if you knew of a Ray Weaver. I knew him as a service advisor at Four J Motors in Huntington Park , California. He was a super guy, he helped me with many VW’s through the 60’s & 70’s. Last I heard...

Merry Christmas to you too Phil (& everyone else). I really enjoy your back stories, keep them coming. You mentioned somewhere that you did Formula V racing. Did you happen to know Ray Weaver? An old friend of mine that was into Formula Vees. I think he retired to Arizona too.
  11. Issues with 5-Star tune

Wait........assuming you go from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and you go the exact same route both ways, isn’t the overall change in elevation 0?
  12. Bed ramp & pivot box questions

I've got a couple questions........ 1. Does a Ford bed extender fit with the pivot storage box installed? Will it fit with the pivot box out but it's mounting hardware in place? 2. Can anyone recommend a bed ramp for loading mowers, snow throwers etc. nothing really heavy.
  13. Ford Pass purchases, etc.

Yeah I thought it was odd that I got the points in 8 minutes but it’s been 8 weeks and they haven’t charged me the points.
  14. Ford Pass purchases, etc.

On July 29 I used my Ford Pass points to purchase a pivot storage box, or so I thought. Today it's September 22 and I still have all my FordPass reward points. In fact I got a couple hundred more points on July 29 when I made the purchase in the dealership. I know it take a while and there was a...
  15. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Two main factors......with the delivery running late and the train breaking down in Buffalo, I was real concerned about the possibility of losing the 0% financing and the $750.00 veterans discount. I knew they'd probably have new incentives starting July 1, but you never know. Then when...
  16. Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Danger........bringing you up to date on my Ranger. On 3/15 I ordered a Ranger, last five 46666. It took longer than expected (surprise!) including a train breakdown in Buffalo. Was talking to my dealer and saw one on the lot I liked better. On 6/18 I bought 52198. Love it. 46666 came in a few...
  17. Ranger Vehicle Visibility Requests Megathread

My Ranger was due at the dealers on 6/9. A few days before that it changed to 6/21 then it went to N/A. I went into the dealer to see what he knew. He said "I thought I'd see you today" and told me the train broke down. It was listed as N/A for a couple days and then he called me and said it was...
