Time to revive this thread. We were at Costco the other day and they had pork loins for .99/lb. so I had bought 2. They were all around 9 lbs so I cut them in half and I'm making a nice 4 lb pork loin in the slow cooker for dinner. This is a simple recipe:
  • 10.75 oz. can cream of mushroom onion soup
  • 10.75 oz. can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder... I use real garlic and make slits in the meat
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
See you in 4-6 hours. ?

It was very good! Only think I forgot to pick up was the wine!

I love using slow cookers the meat is so tender and just falls apart. Now the worst part of all this is the clean up. lol

Watching the younger grandkids at their house until their parents return from the 49er game. McNuggets, fries, and chocolate shake. No cleanup required. :like: Kids love it but their parents may not.

We do something similar but with a fall flavor. We throw in our home made kraut, apple cider, chopped apples, sliced sweet onions, and beef stock. Good either in the crokpot if you have time, or 1/2 hour in the instapot. Pork is our favorite meat.

Sounds like a nice quick easy dinner with the grandkids and I'm sure they loved it! Their parents will get over it and that's what grandpas are for.....spoiling them with stuff they normally shouldn't have. I just finally got done cleaning up which is worse than the prep and cooking part. Annie did the last big dinner so it was my turn tonight.
