So we're walking along and a couple were taking pictures of this moose. Sweet, I haven't seen a moose yet and the last time I saw one was over 20 years ago while snowmobiling up in Northern Maine. I was about 50' from her but she really didn't move much so these are the best pics I could get.

Then I saw something move behind her and spotted her cub. Now there's about 20 people around but I was about 10' in the woods standing on a log trying to get better pics and just kind of froze there so I didn't disturb her.

Just got to our first hotel here in Salina, UT. Hit a few pockets of rain but nothing bad, just enough to get my truck dirty. There's really not a lot great sights along this route (89A) which takes you most of the way up here from Flagstaff. We did stop at the Glenn Canyon Dam in Page, AZ. Lake Powell feeds it and continues on into Horseshoe Bend which we've already seen before.

Just past the bridge about a mile or so is Horseshoe Bend.

Lake Powel is absolutely gorgeous. It is so crystal clear. I remember standing at the top of the dam and watching some guy way down below mowing the grass.

Annie was still pretty tired and sore from 2 days of hiking so this morning I scheduled a rafting trip for 12:30 pm. I wanted to do a white water rafting one but she was having no part of it.:stop: I figured I dragger her out hiking so she gets her pick today.

We had a great group with 9 of us from all over the country. The total time on the water is 2 hours and we saw some great sights of the Tetons from so many different angles. Our guide Dan was great at telling us about the history and where the glaciers are in between the Tetons. The whole experience was amazing and I'd highly recommend this company if you're even here.

You meet at their parking lot then they shuttle you and the raft about 8 miles up the street where they launch.

After a short time (maybe 10 minutes) you come around the bend and are face on with the Tetons. Even though we've seen them for 3 days now it never gets old. Every angle they change and Dan was pointing out this to us all along the way.

There are several Bad Eagles nests there along the banks. We did spot one Bald Eagle but he had his head turned down but you can just see a smidge of white on top.
