To be honest; try this...with a ceramic product you are describing "High spots". And no, it does not damage the paint. Most SiO2 products recommend ~50+ on the temp for it to properly flash.

When it's a bit warmer, reapply the product in those specific areas and see if it "rehydrates" the high spot and it should be easy enough to wipe away.

If that does not work, since it is a ceramic product, you will have to lightly polish. And no; dawn, strip wash will not touch SiO2.

I use Adam's Polishes Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating if you ever want to try it out in the future. The above method works for it, no guarantee on other products.

I alway use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water in a spray bottle for any residue on paint. In this situation I would just remove all of the product you used and re-apply in warmer conditions.

The only problem doing that is it never warms up there until at least May now he's not going to have any protection for the winter. :) We're spoiled by our warmer winters where you and I live but they're very long in CA.?

True. When it gets to freezing temps here during the day I bust out the no rinse wash with 5 gallons of warm water and mckees no rinse. Luckily, that’s only a couple months of that a year.

I wrote to Turtlewax yesterday.
Not that I don't trust any of you but, I just don't trust anyone.
Lets see what they have to say as opposed to the internet warriors.

Turtle Wax web site...advises not to use below 32 degrees, and is best used between 55 degrees and 85 degrees.

A lot of products get weird at extreme temps, streaking, hazing, etc.

I don’t think any wax should damage the paint as there should be no abrasives in it. If it’s too hard to get off you may need to use a light cleaner wax or polish to remove it which is nothing to worry about.

Yea, I think I figured that one out once I was looking around & saying WTF did I do?!?!?!

All this to 'protect' the truck/paint during the winter months.

Going to 10c on Saturday, almost summer temps! So, you want to use a teflon one? ?

Ok, it's a scorching +7c at lunch so I decided to go wash the truck!
I no longer see 'greasy/high spots', seems the wash & drying fixed it.
As for this Turtle wax, seems to be staying on, water did bead but only 10 days since
application so I would expect nothing less.
