A month ago my driver's side window started making a small whistling sound between 30 and 45 mph, somewhere around. It's at the top, near the back but hard to locate, but not sure if door or window issue.
It wasn't there before -- it was dead quiet before at 30 mph.

I took it in for warranty, but they want to return the vehicle in a day (today) saying that it was normal: their tech drove mine, and another vehicle, and said it was the same.
I know mine didn't do that noise before.
Also, the passenger side still doesn't make the noise, kind of invalidating their argument

So my question: do you all have this sound as well?
If not, what should I do next, and/or what are my options?

Mine's pretty new (9 months old) and it has road noise and general wind buffeting noise but no whistle. I can no longer speak to it since I put on deflectors (which added a bit more turbulent buffeting noise).

To ask the obvious, and I'm sure you checked, but did you clean the window edge and into the weatherstripping groove? I'm sure you have and I also wonder if a wipe of some detailing product, like ArmorAll, 303 Aerospace protectorant, or even silicon grease would help.

Your truck's not old enough to have any weatherstripping degradation.

Is it loud enough that your phone could pick it up? Maybe record on both sides.

For them to change out the weatherstripping isn't a huge expense and sure would be easy customer service, but dealerships ...

Let us know how those knuckleheads deal with it and keep being the squeaky wheel (I hate being that guy but when I was with Circuit City, the squeaky wheels almost always got their way).

Just keep after them, as frustrating as that is. =(

I have this same exact issue on my 2019 lariat.
It drives me insane, but right now I’ve got some kind of other weird chirping noise that’s even more bothersome. That noise appears to be related to the road/suspension as the chirps get louder the larger the bump(s) I drove over. I haven’t asked my dealerships to look into the wind/whistle noise because I just assume they won’t find the issue and I’m out of warranty.
I’ve also taken mine out into some rough terrain (big bend Texas) so wouldn’t be surprised if I caused issues there somehow.

Okay thanks all.
To clarify, they didn't deny that it's there, just that it's normal.
Sounds like you all don't have it.
How can i counter that this isn't normal?

Ask to be taken on a test drive of your truck and another truck WITH the tech. Until they acknowledge it's a problem they aren't going to help.

Mine doesn't whistle but has developed significantly more road noise coming in in the same area you described. Wasn't like that new, but happened over time.

A lot of these rangers have junk seals, so it is normal. Some just happen to have half-ass decent seals.

Any cross wind for me? Ugh forget about it. I've seen people on other vehicles pull the mirrors off and add additional seals where they mate against the door. Mirrors can let in noise as well.

Thanks. What if the other truck DOES do that? That still doesn't prove that this is normal, could be just a defect over many vehicles.
Mine didn't make the noise before...

My 2019 had this issue. My dealer ordered the window trim no questions asked. Try a new dealer.

I see, thanks.
Is there any benefit to escalating to Ford Customer Service? I've read that on these forums, but am not sure at what point that's useful.

no to be the kill joy but no. ford customer care is just a call center where the complaints go to get tossed lol. ive gone rounds with them in the past. id say about 250 calls about the same issue equal one real escalation to someone outside or above customer care.

Mine is quiet. As mentioned, try a different dealer.
Good luck.
