So I want opinions. Thinking about trading in my shadow black 2020 Ranger Lariat FX4 (501a) for… ANOTHER RANGER! I like everything about my truck other than the constant task of keeping it clean and scratch free. I want to trade for a white or bright red Ranger Sport FX4 or Ranger tremor. Thoughts? Here is my truck, and examples of what I want to trade for. (My mods will be moved over to new truck if not a tremor)

If you're looking for less maintenance I'd go white. Red is very tough to keep up and they oxidize very quickly too. I loved my black vehicles but you're really a slave to them trying to keep them clean and looking good. Nothing shines better than black vehicle IF you have time for it.

BTW this was one reason I have a white Jeep on order.

I'm not a fan of white, or that particular shade of red.
Of the two, I'd probably choose the white.
Either way, getting rid of the black makes sense to me as I don't like trying to keep black clean.
All that said, your truck is pretty, and I wish you luck as you move to a newer vehicle. I recently traded my '19 for a '21 and am really enjoying it.

Sorry... but I'll throw in Iconic Silver. Classic, always clean looking with the contrast of the trims like the Sport package it always looks great, and... it's because I have one too, so I am biased. Check one out!

So 2 of my friends have iconic silver Rangers and my dad has Lightning Blue so those colors while I love them just can’t do now.

When I bought my truck, I didn't really care about the color as long as it wasn't black, for exactly the reasons you mention. Plus in the summer black gets hot enough to fry an egg.

I bought a white one simply because it was equipped exactly the way I wanted.

Turns out I really like it.

You are in a predicament aren't you? I saw the Lightning Blue when I first got on the lot, then my wife pointed out a Silver one, and it was over. So you've covered the three I would choose from in your photo. Good luck with your choice, I am sure more will chime in. btw, Nice rides too!

Nice black Ranger!

FWIW. I’ve had black trucks since my 2000 Ford Ranger, Trailhead trim. Like others have said, black’s a great color if you’ve got the time to keep it clean. I’ve never been a fan of white vehicles, especially trucks. I always thought that white’s too plain of a color. With that being said, I traded my black 2019 F150 in April for my white 2019 Ford Ranger Lariat. While initially not a fan of the color, the truck had all of the options that I wanted. I must say I’ve grown to really like the color. I’m really anal about keeping my truck clean (according to my wife) because of my experience with black trucks. With the white Ranger, I don’t have to wash it every other day (I’ve got a monthly pass to a hands free car wash…go figure). With the white, I can go a week or more between washes. I still enjoy washing and detailing the Ranger, yet with the white color it doesn’t drive my OCD to constantly try to keep it spotless.

Just my $.02…

There is no such thing as keeping a vehicle scratch free and perfectly clean LOL. My suggestion to you is keep your truck if you like it. No sense in trading in just for another Ranger for those two silly things. That's my input

Imo cheaper to wrap the truck to any color you want. That way you can always go back to black when you get tired of the color. Guessing 1500-2k for a good wrap job
Dealer offered me $43k to buy out right locally. I paid $36k for it new a year ago. Lariat Tremor I found is $46k, Lariat FX4 is $43k. I wouldn’t spend $2k on a wrap (temporary) solution that will never shine like paint.

Don't forget tax, title and license. Wraps have a come a long way. But I get it. Red would be my pick

Hilux, Ranger, Landcruiser,
Sadly Rangers are not offered in ‘fleet colours’.
Everything else I have is omaha orange. I wanted matching colours.
So, Had to settle for white. Partially because its a low maintenance colour thats not silver or grey which those two colours suck in my area visibility wise. Plus white is easier to respray if I want in a few years.
Btw,
Because black shows every speck of anything thats not black. I went with the ‘stone’ interior.
