Ok, I know how to check oil. Just had my first oil change by dealer.
Also had my wife’s 2017 Escape done but that’s a whole other story.
I checked her oil level especially for the (coolant call back)... figured check mine too.
An overnight cold engine, the dipstick reading barely had oil on the tip.
I checked work order (which could be a typo), said I was charged for 4 qts of blend.
Truck takes 6.2 qts of oil. I know oil returns to the pan after some time, but as long as I’ve been driving, cold usually means it reaches at least the lower line.
Is it safe to say it wasn’t a typo and they screwed up? OR is it just me and these newer engines do that?
Nothing shows on dash for any probs. Heading back to dealer with hers and get some free oil for mine.
