That’s what I figured that could they deny a claim down the road , yeah but is it likely probably not.The Ford Performance tune has its own 3/36 warranty that replaces the factory 3/36 warranty for failures that can be attributed to the tune. The factory warranty stays in place for everything else. You can down load the warranty document from the Ford Performance web site.
Once you are past the 3/36 and into the 5/60 powertrain warranty or extended warranty if you have a failure that can be attributed to the Ford Performance tune Ford Motor Company could deny the warranty claim. Ford Performance does not provide any coverage after 3/36.
That being said in my 9 years of owning Ecoboost powered vehicles I have never heard of anyone with the Ford Performance tune having had a warranty claim denied.
I’m probably not going to get it till after winter but I also see what the dealer says by me too if they have ever seen any claims. I don’t really drive aggressive so I’m not hard on the truck as it is. Hopefully that helps a little too lol.
