Similar when my wife totaled her minivan last fall in a chain reaction crash. Front end was smashed and all 12 airbags went off. New ones were almost impossible to find and a dealer where we found one wouldn't even take a deposit to hold it until we knew how much insurance was going to pay.Thanks Jon. That was my fear too with the part delays and having it drag on for months. Luckily the loss adjuster took this into account to while doing their appraisal.
We ended up getting a used one from Enterprise like we did before.
Upside, insurance paid a lot more than we were expecting or would have got on trade.
Good timing in a way since I was looking at dropping large coin on new rocker arms because it developed a serious engine tick, a known defect in the Chrysler 3.6.
