NO! There is a VERY specific drive cycle spelled out to train the transmission, that is to be done whenever the transmission is serviced. It does make adjustments later to compensate for wear. If, when and where this initial training happens is still a question.No, it's done as you drive.
The biggest misconception is that the transmissionission learns your DRIVING STYLE. What it learns is to adjust various parameters to account for manufacturing tolerances and wear to maintain a consistent driving quality.
