I looked all over by the steering wheel, and under the glovebox. I don't see anything but the taped up wires. I'm guessing the other end of the plug is not included until the dealer installs the controller, or never and they just butt splice the brake controller into the spare wires.

Does anybody have the brake controller wiring diagram yet?
Butt splices are so easy I see this as a non issue but it would be nice if Ford would identify the wires.

have you verified what those wires are for?
No, I don't have my truck yet and I have not ordered the wiring diagrams. It sure wouldn't have been hard for Ford to properly identified those wires tho.

If you can see the color of the wire and any stripe color(s) it should match the pigtail end (if it's the correct wire).

For definitive proof, use a multimeter first to measure the voltage at each end of the brake wire. Both ends should be 0V. If so, then put the meter in Ohms mode and then connect one meter lead to the pigtail end and the other lead to chassis. The go back to the 7 pin connector and temporarily ground the brake pin. If it's the same wire the meter should change from infinity to close to 0 ohms.

I forget the wiring for my P3, but I sort of recall it being 4 wires. Do two of them hook to the black one?

That’s what I’m thinking, 3 wires is 1 too few.

no it is missing the brake trigger you will have to tap into for that. so its black with green strip goes to the trailer yellow with red strip 12v power and white is ground.

Yeah, I was going to say it needs a brake signal to complete the 4 wire setup.

Again Ford, why haven't you identified these or documented what needs to be done ????
