Used to use that dealer when it was Jim Snead Ford, good techs there. My son worked as a tech there, they placed him under a Master Tech in HS. Next time I'm down that way, I'll take a look.
Interesting, I have a 2022 FX4 crew cab and I find my ride not floaty, but stiff. Hit a bump hard enough and I get tailgate rattle. Never felt the float sensation folks talk of. I get the Ray Charles wig wag side to side offroad however. I believe due to the narrowness of the truck, the frame...
Ok, what I did was simple, my spongey pedal gone. I took my truck to a large gravel parking lot got up to 35 mph and mashed the brake engaging the ABS. Did it about 4-5 times, felt completely different, very normal. Not happy with results do it some more. From what I've read the sponginess is...
Very true! I set out first to have a Bronco, ordered one in 21, would be a 22. Nada, zip info, or build date after 10 months. Cancelled, bought a 22 XLT Ranger fully loaded off the lot for $10k less than my stripped Badlands Bronco. Best move I've ever made! No comparison in towing, usable room...
My $.02, I like my FX4'S stock ride. I've been on Western PA, and shithole Connecticut roads. Virginia has very smooth roads, I agree, you can't judge suspension until a vehicle is ridden in rough road states. Me, I'm not going to change my shocks, Rough country leveling plates will be my mod...
Anyone find an Easter egg in their truck? Was cleaning the beast thoroughly and discovered this little guy in my rear door pocket. I've owned the truck 2 years, never found it till now, LoL
And on a side note with these caliper systems. ALWAYS use your park brake. As the pads wear, your pulling the park brake maintains adjustment. I've been doing these in Fords from 1987 and I've learned a few things along the way. One other thing I do is after I wind them in is I set my pads with...
I've got 23,000 on my 22 XLT FX4 mine are wearing good, but I as well don't like them. I find they don't track well. Never got to try them in snow. I bought my Ranger 2 years ago this month, and it hasn't snowed in my part of Virginia since I bought the truck, crazy! I'll put something on...
I agree totally I love the looks of my 5G Ranger. I have a unique and cool truck. The nose I believe gives the 5G Ranger alone identity. When I first spotted one on the road in 2020 I was enthralled by it's style.
2022, Splash came out, I searched far and wide to find the right one.
Thank you, went to change my cabin air filter and had pecan shells drop into mine. I had a stink around Christmas and found the bastards hoarded a pile under my console, seats and kick panels. Cleaned all that out but just found them in the filter. At least removing the blower is easy!
I did the opposite. I ordered a Bronco and waited too damn long, I needed a vehicle having sold two of them. I looked over a Ranger and bought a loaded one off a dealer lot.
The big thing was price and capacity. I ordered a 2 Dr Badlands, 4cyl stick. My only options were trailer tow, and a door...
I've got 22,000 on my 2022 and I'm very happy with it. Love the truck. My only bitch is my Hankook tires have developed some noise when half worn, no biggee I planned on not using that tire again.
I have an XLT, 4x4, FX4, 302A, tech package, Tow, Splash. Everything works as it should. And I've...
I've Got the Hankook 18" Dyna pro with the FX4 Package, I've got 22k miles, look new. I've got an XLT 302A as well, love my heated seats, they barebecue my ass!
I think the Ranger would be a great vehicle for plowing your own snow. I wouldn't use it commercially.
I plowed with an 86 F-150 with a Western 7.5' pro plow back in the 90's. Not recommended they said. Yeah right. Outside of a clutch once a year, truck held up great!
